Chase does the biopsy on Agnes MacFadden, who'd lived across the street from Wilson and Julie--the oncologist sighs when the results come back.
"You don't have to tell her tonight," Chase persuades. "Come on, let's find some dinner, maybe see a movie afterward."
It's a novelty for James Wilson to feel nurtured, and the younger man does a superb job of it. He's witty and engaging and doesn't steal from Wilson's plate. A carafe of the house wine with their steaks, and the day's tension dissipates.
They wind up seeing Mamma Mia! because it's that or The Dark Knight, and they can watch a master of chaos in action without paying 12 dollars apiece for the privilege.
