Thank you for your (non-existent) votes, valued viewers! Thanks to you, this fic is now possible. This is... well... kinda outside my usual forte, but hey! I'll do my best. The summary really doesn't do it justice, so you'll have to read this. Disclaimer: I do not own anything that has been trademarked here by anybody. Enjoy!
In another place, another time, The Doctor regenerates... but this time, it will be the final time he regenerates as The Doctor. Of course, I mean that figuratively speaking, not literally speaking. Why is another story, but now is not a the time to explain such things. This story takes place many, many, many years in the Doctor's timeline in an alternate universe after we last saw him. This story is not that of a mad man with a box that's bigger on the inside than on the outside. Or a story about a traveler who can go anywhere in time and space. Nor is it a story of nearly anything else related to those two.
Rather, it is the story of a good man.
A good man who was born to save the universe, it's people, and then some. A good man that wanted to finally be able to stop running.
A good man who decided, that, before he retires from saving the universe, will do things that will benefit the universe for many, many, years to come. One last great journey across time and space to do things the best he can. One last time, he takes companions. One last time he- Oh. He's finished regenerating again. The console room's wrecked. He seems to like his face though. It's one he's familiar with already. That's nice. By the looks of it, it's the one with the bow tie. Not the one with the recorder, mind you, the other one. The one who went to Trenzalore. Now he's struggling to land once more, just like what happened the last time he did this. Oh well. Once he gets everything sorted out, he'll begin to go off again.
Or maybe he's already begun. Who knows? Tenses are difficult. If his thoughts while crashing are any indication, it's the latter that's true.
Those thoughts? Just one word:
Geronimo.
Looks like he's going for the old favorites this time. Oh well. This is gonna be great. Personally, I think this is best read while listening to either "Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart" or "To save the Doctor (A.K.A This is Gallifrey)" Review please if you want more!
