At the Dentist:

Shane didn't like this place, it was too white and it smelled funny. He asked his mommy where the colours were, but she told him to go play quietly. He just gave a big sigh and went over to the building blocks; at least they were in colour.

He had almost built the most awesomest tower ever, when he suddenly heard someone crying. He looked behind him and saw a boy with curly red hair crying and clutching a lady's coat.

"Darling, please stop it. Your face is turning red, it's not very pretty. Reed, stop crying, it's all done."

Shane didn't like to see the boy crying so he went up to him. He could hear his mommy telling him to come to her, but he didn't listen. He walked right up to the boy and put his arms around him.

"There, there. It will be all right." Shane said. His mommy always said this to make him feel better. He hoped it would work for the boy too. He even gave the crying boy a kiss, mommies kisses were magical, maybe Shane kisses were too.

The boy looked at him in shock, his eyes got very big.

Shane gave a grin, "There you go! Crying all done! I am magical!" He was very pleased with himself.

Shane's mommy rushed to him and pulled him away from the boy, "I'm so sorry, I don't know what has gotten in to him. So sorry." She pulled Shane with her back to where they were originally sitting and told him to not do that again.

Again Shane wasn't really listening; he was staring at the boy with the curly red hair and big eyes. The boy was staring at him too.

The lady in the coat grabbed the boy's hand and Shane could hear her saying "Let's go, Reed."

Shane kept watching the boy and waved, "Bye-bye, pretty Reed!"

Reed gave a small wave back, "Bye-bye, Magical."
