The Long Journey
Chapter 1: Run Away!
There once was a boy who lived in a small town. He did not like his family. One day he decided to run away to a far away place. Everyone wondered where he had gone but no one knew. He had found a castle, so he went in and there was a nice little family. When he saw the family he became sad. They accepted him into their family he was very happy, he thought he would never find a new home. In his old town, cops began searching and searching but nobody found him. The family consisted of a mom, dad, 2 boys, and a girl. He was very happy the family seemed nice. They asked him his name and he said Joe. They said I like that name. Joe then asked " What are your names" they replied " Mom- Hannah, Dad- George, Boy- John, Boy- Jacob, Girl- Josephine. They were all about Joes age which was 10. Joe was very happy that he had somebody his age because at home they were all older. There were no little kids his age that lived around him. The family asked Joe " Do you have a family?" Joe replied, "Yes but I don't like them! Please let me stay here I never want to go back to my other family! You guys re nice!" The family felt very happy that they liked them but they didn't really know what to do if they should bring him back or let him stay! It started to become dark and it was night it was time for bed! The family let him sleep in the guest room which was right next to the boys' room. Joe could not sleep at all he was very nervous the family wouldn't let him stay. The parents talked about it that night and said see how he acts for the next couple of days if he is okay then we will let him stay. But, they said if the cops see him we didn't kidnap them he just came to our door and wanted a new family. The next morning they told the kids " Joe can stay here for a few days, then we will see what it brings then!" The kids yelled and screamed and were all very happy, especially Joe! They decided since it was summer that they should all spend the day in the pool since they haven't gotten in it the whole summer! Joe was very happy but the family noticed he didn't have any other clothes except the ones he was wearing. They then decided to take him for a quick shop since he was with them and the cops were on a search for him. They got him shorts, shirts, shoes, and swim stuff. They finally got back home and went for a dip in the pool. Joe was very happy!
