"Kuro-sama! Tomo-chan is looking for you!" Fai said in a taunting manner.
It had been a year since the two men had traveled with Syaoran and Sakura. She had received all of her feathers and now Syaoran and herself were together. Mokona returned to Yuko and Kurogane and Fai were living together in his world.
"Kuro-sama! Tomo-cha-" He was cut short as he bumped into someone in the garden.
"You were looking for me, Mage?" Fai looked up and smiled. He had bumped into Kurogane.
"Tomo-Chan is looking for you, but she wanted me to tell you something first." Kurogane raised his eye brow.
Fai blushed as Kurogane's red eye pierced through his blue ones.
"Well get on with it." Kurogane sighed in frustration.
"She wanted me…to tell you that I Love You." Fai turned away as he said those three words.
He had no idea what the brute's reaction would be. Either it would be good or really really bad. Suddenly, he felt a hand grab his chin, turn him around and a pair of lips caressing his own. Fai would have collapsed to the ground if it weren't for the arm around his waist. The kiss ended and Fai looked up at those crimson eyes.
"I love you too, Mage. Now is that all Tomoya wanted?" Fai nodded as he clung to Kurogane, trying not to fall.
Kurogane ran his thumb across Fai's swollen bottom lip. "Do you think I'm lying to you, Fai?"
Fai immediately looked up at Kurogane with a strict stare.
"Why would I think that you would be lying about that?" Fai felt his head become heavy and his vision blurry. Kurogane noticed Fai's spaced out daze and quickly asked him what was wrong.
Fai woke up that day and it was dark out. He wondered what had happened and how he had gotten into his bedroom. He sat up and looked around the room. He was alone. Fai sighed and laid back down. He was always alone before Kurogane saved him.
"Fai-san needs to rest Princess Tomoya and if Kurogane finds out then he'll kill me!" Fai sat up when heard the voice outside his room.
"It's okay Soba. I just want to talk to him for a bit and Kurogane won't kill you. I'll make sure of it." Then Fai saw Princess Tomoya walking over to him. He smiled at her and she smiled right back. "How are you Fai-san?"
"I'm good, but I'm wondering…What happened to me?" Tomoya smile faded and she turned to the window. He noticed her trouble face and that made him nervous. "Tomoya, what happened?"
She sighed. "You passed out. It seems that the affect of your eye is becoming to intense for your body. So when you passed out it was because of your eye."
Fai's hand immediately touched his eye patch. It had always been fine before, but when Kurogane admitted his feelings to him, he became light headed and passed out. This didn't seem right to him. Tomoya smiled once again and stood up. "Well I'll be on my way. I'm sure Kurogane wants to speak with you, am I right?"
She turned towards the door as Kurogane stepped out of the shadows. Fai eye's saddened. Kurogane walked over to him, staring at him the whole time. "Kuro-sama…"
Fai quickly got up and rushed into Kurogane's arms. He couldn't hold his tears back as the ninja embraced him. "I had a horrible nightmare about Ashura and when I woke up and I was alone, I thought that yesterday was a dream and I was still with Ashura."
Kurogane didn't say anything, he just let Fai vent it all out. Soon Fai had fallen asleep and Kurogane had put him to bed. He laid down next to his love, rubbing his back and fiddling with his hair. He knew this would keep the nightmares, Fai was having for so long, away and it would keep him closer to the man he always loved. Fai sighed in his sleep and a sleepy smile appeared on his face. This made Kurogane smile as well. At least he knew that tomorrow would be a good day for the two lovers.
