On a dark night, a plot was brewed. A plot to exploit the power of a nefarious demon. But, it was ruined by a young man's interference and quick warning. So, the town was quickly warned of the attack to come, but were no match for the huge fox demon. It whipped its tail in fury, nearly leveling the whole town. The town ninja did their best, but many died trying. Hope soared as the leader came to the rescue. He made some handsigns and an equally as big cat demon appeared. The two demons fought fiercely while the leader began making more handsigns. He made another sign and his hands started glowing.

As the fox slashed at the other, the leader sent a blast of energy at it. The demon fell back as the leader made one last hand sign. The fox twitched and stopped moving. People began cheering as they saw this. But it ended just as quickly when they realized that the leader and his summon were no longer among the living. A piercing wail echoed through the somber silence and one of the younger ninja found a baby in a bundle of blankets.

The elders later figured out that the baby had the fox demon sealed within her. They decided to send her somewhere so she wouldn't realize the demon inside her or its power. The same ninja who had found her was given the task of finding her a home in another dimension. By this time, the child was sleeping peacefully, fist in her mouth. He carried her though a portal and came out on a dark street. He searched for a place to leave her, but wasn't having any luck. He sighed as he stopped under a streetlight. The baby woke up at that moment and blinked from the light. She looked around and the young man's silver hair caught her attention.

She cooed as she tried grabbing it. He grinned slightly and continued looking. He finally found a home for her and set her on the steps before knocking on the door. He stayed in the shadows to make sure she was taken in. The door opened and a young woman with blonde hair appeared. She looked down at the baby and picked her up. The woman looked around, trying the person who left her, but finding nothing. The child giggled and reached for her hair. She smiled and took her inside.

"Mikara!" I looked up from my book and saw my mom walking up the hill. She wasn't really my mom, just someone who raised me ever since I was little. You could tell just by looking at us; she had long blonde hair and blue eyes, Dad had short platinum blonde hair and green eyes and I was the oddball with long sandy brown hair and brown eyes. "Mikara, it's time for dinner."
