Now That I Have a Heart

We Share a heart,
But not a mind.
Together but separate
For all of time.
Do you know who I am?
Do you know I'm there?
Do you ever think of me?
Do you even care?
I am nothing, a nobody.
And I don't have the right
To be with you every day
Or to watch you at night.
No matter what I do
I can never get away,
Because being part of you
Is the part that I play.
And when I think of you,
It tears me apart,
Because I know I love you
Now that I have a heart.
