Naruto walked along the dark street. It was peacefully lit up by the moon. This was something he did every night. He called it his Sasuke Therapy. No one knew that he did this every night. No one knew but him. It was a time when he could get all his sadness out in the light of the moon. The cold night air was oddly comforting. The tears would come and he would let them out. If he ever got tearful he would hold them back making sure that no one saw his weakness, but during his therapy he would cry it all out of himself.
He stopped and starred down at the river running under the bridge. His body cast a shadow over it. He could see that it was shallow, but where his shadow wasn't it looked deep.
He still didn't understand why Sasuke had left. But he prayed for him. He prayed and cried every night that Sasuke would come back.
Naruto looked where Sasuke normally stood on the bridge when the teams meet. He gasped. There was Sasuke!
"...Oi, dobe." Sasuke replied to Naruto's gasp. Naruto didn't move. Didn't say anything. One half of him said "run" and the other said "wait". The side that still held hope.
Sasuke walked forward to him and hugged him tightly. Naruto didn't know what to do. He stepped out of the embrace and choked out. "S...Sasuke? Why? Why are you here?"
"I came back. Na...Naruto,...I missed you." Naruto wanted to comfort Sasuke but stayed still. His stomach twanged with emotion. "Naruto. I love you." Sasuke said. His face showed all his feelings. It showed the pain, the sadness, and the pleading. Pleading that Naruto would accept him. He starred into the sunny-sky blue eyes, searching for Naruto's answer.
"Sasuke? Sasuke,...I...love you too." Naruto swallowed hard his eyes filled with tears. Sasuke took a step toward Naruto.
"What?" Sasuke whispered as Naruto stepped back.
"Sasuke, I... I don't know if... I don't know if I can trust you." Sasuke felt a pain in his chest.
"Sasuke I don't know if you'll leave again." Naruto voice was cracking and tears spilled from his eyes.
"I won't leave Naruto, I promise." Sasuke replied.
"I don't know if I can trust you, Sasuke." Naruto immediately turned and ran. Sasuke watched him leave. Sasuke realized that tears were coming down from his eyes as well. He did nothing to wipe them away, and did nothing to stop them.
He had run from Konoha and Naruto, and now Naruto was running from him, into the welcoming arms of Konoha.
so what did ya think? i know it has a sad ending, but im debating whether naruto should take sasuke back or not... at least put up a little resistance to let him know he cant do things like that... REVIEW PLEASE!!!!!! and no flames, but CONSTUCTIVE CRITISIM is welcomed )
