I Knew Him Well

Alas poor Sherlock I knew him well

The detective to my criminal

I sent him puzzles and watched him dance

Delighting in every subtle nuance

But alas with this foe there was just one thing wrong

He had picked up a heart, a doctor called John

He brought jumpers and jam to the flat they were sharing

And taught dear Sherlock a lesson about caring

At the pool things came to a head

But the call came I let them go instead

Through scandal and hound I watched them with care

On John's blog I left a note which they'd find there

Dear Sherlock fell in the Reichenbach fall

Now his skull adorns my mantlepiece wall

In the midst of my criminal operations

Silent witness to London's tribulations

So Seb congratulate yourself on a job well done

Now wasn't that the best kind of fun?
