The first word that crossed his mind, "Obi-wan."
The pain of the killing blow was excruciating. But he calmed him-self ignoring it. For once he officially knew his end. A long, what seemed long, conversation was put into thought, "What will be my final say? How will Obi-wan grow to be a Jedi? Is Anakin the chosen one?"
He thought about the many missions together, and how they first came to know each other. Their first mission to Gala which turned to into a mission to Phindar. He remembered the time they were split up by a child group, but they soon got back together. Eventually the sounds of sabers in the distance were erased.
He thought of the times he should have listened to Obi-wan. But most of all, what would make him-self feel better is in the Constalation Room in the Jedi Temple. He could see each Star's connection to each other, much like the force.
The sudden fear that struck his padawan made him come into attention. The feeling of victory filled the circular room. Could have Obi-wan lost? He knew that with his padawan not in touch with the force could cause lack of concentration, or could it be too much concentration? Fro all he really cared it could be either or. Pain came back. Not physically. It was the reminder of the mission. If Obi-wan didn't pass the trials, where would Anakin go? He was furious at him-self for not believing in his Padawan. Suddenly it came to mind, "That's it! Obi-wan will train Anakin." Qui-gon knew that if that's what he wanted, Obi-wan would certainly make it happen.
Victory had been won. Obi-wan rushed to his side with no hesitation. It was sure that Obi-wan cared. Qui-gon fufilled his leagacy. He knew it and died content with what he done for the rest of the galaxy.
