A grande adventure in a big city

Rose Lalonde is a young college grad who was asked by her girlfriend to come live with her in New York City. A lot will change for Rose, and she will gain new relationships and skills. T for the bad language and who knows what. Sorry for the bad title and summary. This is my first fic so feedback is appreciated. human!stuck

"Excuse me," "Pardon me," "Coming through,"
A small pleaded-bottom purple cocktail dress sashays through the crowded New York subway station. This was a big day for Rose Lalonde, she was finally moving to the apartment she shares with her girlfriend in New York city. Rose finally approaches the entrance to the subway station after dodging many businessmen on cell phones and small children. There she sees her, her beautiful girlfriend in a stylish jade knee-length skirt and black fleece jacket. She was holding two Starbucks coffees and had a calm smile spread across her green lips. Rose could just barely control herself from running over to her. Instead she just walked very quickly over to her tall lover. Before taking her cafe au lait, Rose threw her arms around her love and placed her black lips upon her girlfriend's green lips. She then pulled away and in the cold January air breathed out,
"Hello Kanaya, it's positively lovely to see you again."

It was on Rose's birthday, December 4th, that she was asked by her girlfriend of three years, Kanaya Maryam, if she would move in with her. She immediately said yes and spent the rest of December and most of January selling her apartment and getting the plane ticket from Maine where she had been previously staying,to New York city.

Kanaya hailed a cab to bring them back to her studio style apartment in the heart of the city. It took them almost an hour to reach the apartment due to New York's horrible traffic. When they got out, Kanaya grabbed one of Rose's purple bags and hurriedly went through the front doors of the apartment building and into the elevator. The apartment was on the fourth floor in room 413. Kanaya slowly unlocked the door to reveal a beautiful little apartment with wood floors and green carpets scattered around. It had one queen bed with a plush comforter with dark purple on one side and the same shade of green as the carpets on the other. Rose was speechless. She could barely even mutter out her gratitude towards Kanaya for letting her move in to her grande apartment.
