Parker/ Hardison
It was the first snowfall of the year and Parker's eyes widened with childlike awe. She beckoned Hardison over, looking away from the open window for only a second. Hardison came over, trying not to shiver at the cool winter air.
"Parker, you know the window doesn't have 'ta be open for you to the snow," Hardison pointed out, half-heartedly, knowing Parker wouldn't waver from her spot to close the window.
"But, how can I see the snowflakes clearly if it's not?" Parker asked smiling brightly, forgetting not for the first time that other people felt temperatures differently than she did.
Hardison gave up his argument with a sigh but couldn't help the smile that crept onto his face at the happiness radiating from Parker as she watched each white flake fall. He knew he could never deny her anything.
Eliot
The city burned, fire lighting up the night sky. Eliot saw the flames, heard the screams, the cries of agony, and squelched down on the guilt threatening to suffocate him. This time was always the worst part, the minutes after the job was done, when he wondered if he was doing what he had to or if he was killing innocent people for no purpose. Eliot spun on his heel, his eyes closing, trying to drown out the sounds behind him as he walked away from the worst thing he had ever done. Two things he knew for certain, he would never leave this act behind him, and he could never allow himself to do another thing for Damien Moreau.
Typical Brother Sister Moment- Eliot/Parker
"Shh! Hear that?" a voice whispered in the dark, a hand lifting to halt the line behind him.
"I didn't hear anything," Parker responded.
"Well, if you would be quiet for just a second you would hear it!" Eliot snapped harshly, flipping his hair back in frustration.
"Did you know you mess with your hair every 5 minutes?" Parker asked curiously.
"I don't- you- I don't do that Parker!" Eliot said angrily.
Nate/Sophie
They came back every year to lay flowers on the spot. She cries, he tries to be strong for her. That's the way it always goes. Every year. He carries the guilt around with him, knowing it's his fault. Knowing, like everything else, that this is his fault. He brought this pain on himself as well as her. It was his plan, his mark, and his enemy that did this and now he has to live with knowing that he could have, should have, kept them safe, all three of them.
Parker
Everytime a job goes wrong her brain speeds up and her pulse quickens as she searches for the quickest exit. Fear is the only thing in her head. But then she hears it, the smooth tone of Nate in contrast with the rough gravelly tones of Eliot. The level-headedness of Sophie and the tech speak of Hardison. And the fear fades, because she knows, she knows they would never leave her behind.
