Rainy Days
Rain. It was raining. She was thinking about him. How could she not when it rains? He left on a natural rainy day. Or was it?
"No, don't be stupid, Luna. Of course it was natural. He wouldn't do that on propose for you… would he?" She looked around the studio that she and her friend shared. His sculptors, clay, wood, stone, and paint stood on one side of the room while her easel, paints, brushes, markers, paper, and so on stood on the other side.
She looked over at her friend. He hadn't changed much since they graduated. He was still tall and was as strong as ever. His African features stood out from his black dreadlocks and colorful beads that she helped him put in.
She looked up at the mirror that stood against the wall in front of her drafting table. She changed a lot. Her dark brown hair in a lose braid that fell to her waist and her big green eyes still had a shin to them. He used to love her eyes.
"Luna?" Lysander was now in front of the drafting table, peering into her face. "You okay?" he asked, putting a hand on her forehead.
"Yeah. I'm fine." She looked down at the anime Mulan picture that her niece wanted for her birthday.
Lysander stared at her, but before he could ask anything, the door of the studio burst opened. There stood her mirror image, Zuna smiled at the two. "Guess who I found at Anime Britain!"
"Your mind?" Lysander asked, making her giggle softly.
"NO! You moron! I have my mind!" Zuna puffed out her cheeks in anger. The she turned to the hall. "STORM BRAIN! Get over here!"'
Her eyes widened as a tall man with bright blond hair stuck to his forehead and round blue eyes came in, looking awkward as he stood there. It was him!
Brush his dripping wet hair out of his face and looked over to Lysander then her. That stare was the same.
He grinned at the two. "Hey, Sander, Lulu. Sorry for the unexpected visit. Zuna dragged me here." He casted a look over at Zuna, who shrugged back. "Anyway, you two look well."
"As do you, Tanc." Lysander's lips finally spread into a smile as he approached his best friend. The two slapped hands and grinned at each other.
Then he turned his attention over to her. She looked down, grabbing onto the black sleeves of her shirt and tugging on them slightly.
"Lulu…" He started to walk toward her.
"You're supposes to be dead…" she whispered, trying to stay away from him.
"Lulu… you know that's not true…" he gently put a hand on her shoulder. She looked to see her sister and friend gone and the door closed.
She looked up into the eyes of the man before her. They stared down at her lovingly. She finally broke down and fell into his wet arms, crying into his chest.
He put his arms around her, holding her close. "I sorry… I did die, but I came back… sorry for not coming sooner."
"You're here, that's all that matters." She looked up at him with tears still going down her face.
"And I'll never leave you again." He whispered, whipping her tears away with his thumb, then pulled her into a kiss.
Rain. It is raining outside. But now she's not sad. Because she has him back with her.
