Sequel to A Forbidden Moment

Lingering Thoughts

Ever since that morning that she had the encounter with Logan a few weeks back, Jean couldn't think of anything else. She remembered that all through her training session that morning she was totally out of it. Everyone definitely noticed, especially Scott, but no one said anything. They didn't want to pry.
She remembered the stares she got when she ran in late, looking all dishevelled and unorganized. The questioning glances which were meant to be subtle, but of course they forgot that she WAS telepathic.
She remembered everything. Every detail. Every detail of Logan's rock hard chest. How his rough hands were roaming around her back. His extended claws brushing through her red hair. His tense muscles holding her passionately.
She suddenly snapped out of her daydream and realized she wasn't alone in the room. She had been sitting at her dresser in front of the mirror, in the midst of brushing her hair. She must have zoned off until she noticed another reflection in the mirror, standing behind her.
"Logan!" she cried out in surprise.
"Ssh." he told her quietly, placing his index finger on her lips. In an instant, his lips replaced his finger on her lips. She pulled away for a second and glanced nervously at the door.
Reading her mind, Logan said, "Don't worry. Scott took Rogue, Kitty, and Jubilee out to see a movie. Won't be back for a while."
Reluctantly, she gave in to his embrace. She still had nagging feelings about what she was doing. The connection she was making with Logan allowed her to sense how he was feeling. And she wasn't sure if she really wanted to know. Otherwise, she would have to admit to herself that she wanted him too.
They parted with enough time for Logan to ask her, "So what were you thinking about there babe?"
She looked at him, trying to find the right words to answer him with. She didn't want to tell him that she might be falling for him. She knew that was how he felt.
"Nothing. Nothing at all."
