Season 8 Episode 6
Dany walked out from the ruins of the Red Keep to address her army as Jon came up the stairs to meet her. As she did, Drogon's wings extended out and flapped behind her giving everyone the impression the wings belonged to her. Drogon then flew off into the air.
"Did you see that shot. That was fucking amazing. I looked so bad-ass," Dany smiled to Jon.
"Almost as amazing as you burning down the entire city," Jon remarked.
"I know, right?" Dany said wide-eyed.
"Where did all these troops come from?" Jon asked.
"They're reserves," Dany said simply.
"Reserves?" Jon questioned.
"Not going to lie, at Winterfell, I only provided half of my army," Dany admitted.
Jon gave her a stunned look. "So many Northerners died."
"Just be thankful I was there at all, alright," Dany said to him.
She then addressed her massive army. "Today, is the end of Cersei, the end of a regime that acquiesced to disorder. At this very moment, in a land far from here, slavers and tyrants lie to the world while secretly supporting the treachery of terrorists and assassins. This fierce army, which we have created upon which we stand, will bring an end to all those who oppose us, to their fleets and their armies. All the cities of the world shall bow to us and will remember this as the last day anyone fucks with us!"
The Unsullied pounded their spears into the ground while the Dothraki cheered. "God damn," Jon said amazed.
"Torgo Nudho, you have been by my side in many battles and have slain many enemies. You now have the experience points to be my commander of all my forces," Dany promoted.
"I had the impression I already was," Grey Worm said confused.
"Just...go with it" Dany sighed and then turned back to her army.
Tyrion then walked up to Dany's side. "You're late," Dany said displeased.
"I was just captivated by the scenery, Your Grace," Tyrion said tired and broken.
"You let your brother go. That's treason. What the fuck?" Dany asked him.
"I let my brother go," Tyrion admitted.
"Where is he now?" Dany asked.
"Under rubble in the Red Keep with Cersei by his side," Tyrion said.
"That's disappointing. I wanted to make an example of their corpses," Dany said ruthlessly. "Now, they're splattered red paste."
"Actually, their bodies are very well maintained all things considered," Tyrion said.
"Oh good," Dany said pleased.
"You slaughtered this city," Tyrion accused.
"Don't act like you're so surprised. Did you really think I would let them surrender after the bells?" Dany asked him.
"For a moment there, yes, I kind of did," Tyrion replied honestly.
"You've spoken about how you wanted to kill everyone in King's Landing, remember?" Dany said surprised by his subdued reaction.
"I was lying. I was being hyperbolic," Tyrion excused.
"Well, I was lying when I told people I didn't want to be queen of ashes and massacre innocents," Dany revealed.
"Well, at least we're on the same page now," Tyrion sighed.
"The rebuilding of this city is going to provide jobs, foreign investment, and a chance to make everything more efficient," Dany said to him. "At the very least, it won't be nearly as overcrowded."
"The broken window fallacy," Tyrion recalled.
"That's right," Dany said not fully understanding what he meant.
Tyrion then went for his Hand pin. "You better not," Dany warned.
"Oh, I'm gonna," Tyrion said ready to take it off.
"You ruin my moment, I'll make you a quarter-man," Dany threatened.
Tyrion then awkwardly struggled to get the pin off his coat. "Just give me a moment," he said tugging at it.
"Really?" Dany said unimpressed.
Finally, Tyron got the pin off where it was flung out of his hands off the edge of the stairs where no one saw it. "Damn it," he muttered.
Dany gave him an incredulous look. "Seize him," she ordered her Unsullied.
The Unsullied then took Tyrion away to a cell.
Jon came to visit Tyrion's cell with the guards outside. "Did you bring any wine?" Tyrion asked.
"No," Jon replied.
"Damn...it," Tyrion muttered. "Thank you for seeing me. Our queen doesn't keep prisoners for long," he said dryly.
"That's for sure," Jon agreed.
"There's a crude sense of justice to it all. I let my best friend get burned alive. Now, his ashes can tell my ashes 'I told you so,'" Tyrion said depressed.
"So, is there life after death?" Tyrion asked.
"I know nothing about that," Jon shook his head.
"Why did I even ask?" Tyrion asked himself. "Oblivion is the best I could hope for."
"With all the sins you've committed, I think you're right," Jon agreed.
"I strangled my own lover, I shot my father with a crossbow, and betrayed my queen," Tyrion continued.
"You are a piece-of-shit, no doubt about it," Jon nodded.
"What do you think of what she did?" Tyrion asked.
"I can't justify what happened. But on the whole, she has done more good than bad. Without her, the Night King would have killed everyone in Westeros," Jon defended her.
"That's fucked up, Jon. She's going to do the same shit to other cities," Tyrion pointed out.
"Well, whose fault is that? You and Varys plotted against her and came up with stupid-ass plans that brought the largest army and the largest fleet the world has ever seen to near nothing. You're either a traitor or a damn fool, maybe even both," Jon said.
"She liberated Slavers Bay, she liberated King's Landing, and she'll keep liberating until she owns the whole world," Tyrion warned.
"Sounds good," Jon said ignorantly.
"Varys was right. I was wrong. It's in our queen's nature to be fire and blood," Tyrion mused.
Dany and Grey Worm then barged into the cell. "You two talking shit about me?"
"Yes," Tyrion said boldly as Jon said "No."
"Why the fuck would you let anyone visit Tyrion? The only weapon he has is his mouth," Dany said to Grey Worm.
"I didn't want to block access to your lover who is also your nephew," Grey Worm replied.
"You say that like it hurts me. I only wish he were my brother instead!" Dany shouted at him.
"What the fuck?" Jon mouthed.
"Can we discuss this like rational adults?" Dany asked.
"I just want to go back to the North," Jon told her.
"Bend the knee and you can get the fuck out of here," Dany allowed peeved.
"Like, right here?" Jon asked.
"Yes, in this piece-of-shit cell, you're going to bend the knee. You could have done it at Dragonstone in my nice halls, but you had to be an ass," Dany said angrily.
"Fine," Jon said bending the knee to her.
"Alright, now leave ungrateful bastard," Dany said scornfully.
Jon walked out of the room in a huff. Dany then turned to Tyrion with the Hand pin in her hand. "Can we start over?"
"I don't think we can. I have no idea on how to spin this to the rest of Westeros. You're now Queen Daenerys Targaryen, the butcher," Tyrion said.
"Sounds bad-ass," Dany smiled.
"What's the point of being your counselor if you never listen to me?" Tyrion asked.
"But I do listen to you. I listened to you when you decided to divide up our fleet causing our Dorne and Tyrell allies to be killed or captured. I listened to you when you told me to take Casterly Rock. I listened to you when you cost me one of my dragons in a foolish plan to acquire an Undead to show to Cersei. I listened to you when you said Cersei would join is in the North. But then, I started thinking for myself, and I took King's Landing within an hour," Dany said pissed-off.
"Obviously, I've failed you. You should just kill me," Tyrion said.
"We all have our faults. You're a raging alcoholic, and I'm a crazy bitch. But together, we can make the world a better place for the living," Dany told him.
"Fine, but it's kind to take a lot of work to explain this," Tyrion said.
"I'm sure you can think some shit up," Dany said and then flicked his Hand pin at his feet.
Braavos
Arya arrived at the House of Black and White. Jaqen came to meet her in the dark hall lit by touches. "Did the girl have fun?" he asked her.
Arya took off her mask to reveal herself as Waif. "The girl did," she smiled.
"Mop the floors," Jaqen ordered.
"Hard-ass," Waif muttered and went to work.
Winterfell
Jon rode back to Winterfell where he met Sansa in the hall. "Where's Arya?" Sansa asked.
Jon shook his head. "She's dead. She's been dead for a while now," Bran revealed.
Sansa began to cry while Jon gave Bran a spooked look. "Did you know what would happen at King's Landing?"
"I had a vision of it," Bran admitted.
"You could have stopped it. You could have entered the dragon's mind and stopped it," Jon accused.
"I could have," Bran said bored.
"You're just as guilty as she is," Jon said pissed.
"Maybe I am," Bran allowed.
"You know what? Fuck it," Jon said exiting the room.
King's Landing
Sometime later, King's Landing was slowly being rebuilt. Tyrion organized his small Council that included Bronn, Brienne, Davos, and Grand Maestro Ebrose. "I thought Samwell Tarley would be our Grand Maestro," Tyrion said confused.
Ebrose laughed at that. "Oh, you were serious? Samwell Tarley was executed by our queen the other day. Rumor has it, he knew some juicy gossip."
"Indeed," Tyrion gulped.
"I want you to know that I am here only because the queen threatened to burn Tarth to the ground if I didn't," Brienne said.
"I don't think anyone wants to be here," Tyrion allowed.
"I want to be here," Bronn objected.
"Our queen has a wicked sense of humor making you Master of Coin and respecting our deal to make you Lord of Highgarden," Tyrion said.
"Was that really necessary? I'm just here trying to be a good patriot," Bronn said hurt.
Dany then entered the room with her Unsullied guards. The small Council immediately stood up. Dany looked over the group amused. "Your Grace," they all said at once.
Dany took a seat at the table. "We appear to be missing a Master of Whisperers. You know, since I executed the last one."
"I was going to recruit Bran Stark to that position. He supposedly can see everything and everyone," Tyrion said.
"Keep that creepy fucker in the North," Dany ordered spooked by him.
"We also require a Master of Laws," Tyrion added.
"That won't be necessary. Whatever I say is the law," Dany replied.
"Well, alright then," Tyrion acknowledged.
"I'm going east for a well-deserved vacation. I'm taking Drogon with me. The Dothraki will be sailing back to Essos, but I will be leaving behind the Unsullied to provide security in King's Landing," Dany told them.
"Of course, Your Grace," Tyrion said without enthusiasm.
Dany then stood up and looked over the group. "I expect great things from you all."
As soon as Dany left, Bronn looked at Tyrion. "Let's start opening some brothels."
"Really?" Brienne asked unimpressed.
"I feel the treasury could be better spent," Davos agreed with her.
"That's because you're so old your cock no longer works," Tyrion teased.
"That's not true," Davos said defensively.
"Brothels bring in big business. They pay for themselves," Bronn said.
"When she comes back, she's going to kill your ass," Brienne warned.
"At this point, I don't give a fuck," Tyrion replied.
Meereen
Drogon landed in Meereen with Dany getting off his back. Daario was there to greet her. "I heard some weird shit happened over there," he said worried.
"I'll tell you all about it...from a certain point of view," Dany smiled and then kissed him.
"What of Jorah?" Daario asked.
Dany broke from him. "He died a hero in Winterfell. He died protecting me," she said and started to cry.
"There, there," Daario patted her head.
"I lost Missandei, Viserion, and Rhaegal," Dany sobbed.
"Holy shit," Daario realized.
"Tell me you have prisoners I can burn," Dany asked hopefully.
"Absolutely," Daario smiled.
