A/N: I am confused on whether this is a poem or a song or what. But I was listening to Anna Nalick today and got all inspired because she is made of win. Please feel free to comment/complain/congratulate on my excessive use of symbolism.

EDIT: FFN is being icky and not letting me post breaks inbetween stanzas/verses/whatever. I can't seem to find a way to fix it, but you guys are smart cookies, right? Surely you can figure out the form.

In your dreams you are plagued by the light

It illuminates the blood on your hands, surrounded by night

And you want to give in oh so dearly

And here comes the wall, harsh and white

And here comes the beach, bitter and bright

And here comes the end of your mercy

And you've flashes of faces behind your eyes

Cause the sun has set and the night is high

And it's those traces of the girl that you left behind

That's not enough to tempt the blithe

And there you are, in the stars

Without your home

You can dimly remember the urge to fall

Rock bottom isn't the same at all

And you're oh so afraid to forget

And here comes the dead, alive and tall

And here comes the brave, feeling so small

And here comes that damned regret

And you've flashes of faces behind your eyes

So reflective the moon as it tries

And it's those traces of the girl you left behind

That tell the moon to bid goodbye

And there you are, in the stars

On your own

It's the dull ache that makes you smile

When you meet someone again, once in awhile

But you're never all right, are you?

And here comes your fate, cruel and vile

And here comes some joy, not quite your style

And here comes the wolf that you knew

And you've flashes of faces behind your eyes

But the stars are gone and the sun is nigh

And it's that face of the girl you see tonight

That define what's wrong and what isn't quite right

And there you are, in the stars

Bleeding alone

And there you are, in the stars

Wandering to unknown
