Teardrops for Water Girl
The five guardians of the veil stood there, opposite from the evil cold hearted Nerissa.
"Nerissa you're going down once and for all!" Shouted the group leader Will.
Nerissa could see the looks of determination in the girl's eyes. She smiled nastily.
"Really Will?" She asked coldly.
"Get her!" Shouted Will.
The girls charged into action taking down all of Nerissa's sidekicks. Suddenly there was a blood curdling scream, Irma, the water guardian was lying on the floor covered in a pool of blood . "NOO!" Screamed the girls running to Irma. Nerissa laughed "I'm sorry girls did my powers hurt the water guardian? That's just too bad!" She laughed again and ran from the abandoned warehouse that they had been fighting in. The girl's didn't notice their enemy escape their attention was fixed on the dying Irma.
"Irma? Please! Stay with us!" Screamed the usual down to earth Cornelia, Being the earth guardian she did not usually get panicked in tricky situations but this was different this was Irma Lair a child hood friend, She couldn't die! Who would crack jokes at inappropriate times!
"Will! What do we do?" Shouted Taranee looking down at the pale body of Irma.
Will was frozen in fear, She had no idea what to do. Hay-Lin was crying silently .Irma was Hay-Lin best friends, The air and water guardians had been friends almost their entire lives!
Irma groaned in pain.
Will snapped into action .
"Irma can you hear me?" asked Will her voice ringing with fear.
"Of course I can hear you moron dying doesn't make you deaf!" Irma said weakly.
Will turned pale then she already was.
"What do you mean? Dying? Irma you're going to be fine. We'll get you to hospital…you'll be fine…just fine" Will said through her tears.
"It's too late. I love you guys. Make the planet safe. Banish Nerissa." Irma said quietly.
Irma eyes closed and she took her final breath .She was dead.
Silence was all that could be heard through the warehouse.
"We should go. We need to tell Irma's parents" Hay-Lins voice broke as she said the last bit of the sentence, It all seemed so surreal just a hour ago Irma was alive and cracking jokes about Taranee home made cookies.
"Let's go." Said Will with a blank expressionless voice. She could not believe one of their best friends was dead.
Hay-Lin flied Irma to her house.
Will knock on the door. Mrs. Lair answered the door, She smiled at the girls until she realized that Hay-Lin was carrying the pale blood soaked body of her daughter Irma. She stared shocked, She turned pale and began to cry knowing her daughter was dead. Irma's dead Mr. Lair came to the door hearing his wife's loud sobs. He saw the body.
"Irma? Not my Irma…Please not her! Not my daughter!" He took Irma's body and layed it down on the couch.
"How?" He asked weakly.
"She was..Umm…She was run over by an unknown car." Said Will lying.
The girls began to cry and hold each other. This was a grave day for the guardians
Three days later a funeral was held. It was held at a church the whole church was filled with lilies, Irma favourite flower. The guardians were distraught.
