"Hermione," Ron asked as he and Harry were attempting to puzzle out the latest assignment from Professor Snape, with Harry focused more on changing the color of his ink. "Where were you yesterday?"
Hermione turned quickly to face him from her armchair by the fire, her cheeks a delicate pink. "Me?"
"Yeah," Ron persisted. "I was looking all over for you."
"Oh." Hermione played with her knitting. "I was in the library."
Ron looked suspicious. "But I looked there."
"Oh, I- I must have been in the bathroom."
Ron turned to Harry on the guise of asking him a question about the essay. He lowered his voice.
"D'you get the feeling Hermione's not telling us something?"
"Draco," Crabbe asked as he and Goyle were attempting to puzzle out the latest assignment from Professor Snape, with Goyle focused more on eating his Pumpkin Pasty. "Where were you yesterday?"
Draco turned quickly to face him from his armchair by the fire, his cheeks flushing slightly. "Me?"
"Yeah," Crabbe persisted. "I was looking all over for you."
"Oh." Draco played with his quill. "I was at the Quidditch pitch."
Crabbe looked suspicious. "But I looked there."
"Oh, I- I must have been in the bathroom."
Crabbe turned to Goyle on the guise of asking him a question about the essay. He lowered his voice.
"D'you get the feeling Draco's not telling us something?"
