After A Seriously Close Encounter....
Spira continued to show Tidus that he was closer to his father now than he ever had or would have been back in the old Zanarkand. Way closer. The kind of close where if Jecht, or Sin as he was so named in Spira, even breathed, Tidus would die of deadly fumes. Or if he even thought too loudly, Jecht would go raving mad and kill a couple thousand people via the beached-whale ploy.
Jecht had been nice, though, this time. Maybe he thought killing off the hero party in Macilania would be a bad idea, being so far under the ice. Nobody would know about it and therefore it was rather pointless. But how does a continent-sized sea monster move seven people from an underground ice feild to the middle of a desert? Being a whale-like-evil-beastie, you'd think he'd have a hard time dropping his kid and buddies off in the sand box. Then again, when had Spira made sense anyway? Stupid game plot holes....
So Tidus sat in the middle of the desert beside a puddle, barely even able to comprehend the presence of Lulu and Auron, who happened to be there just in time to save his ass from a bird. Ten minutes of dialogue later, they all decided to go find their fellow main characters and then continue on their quest to Zanarkand - the hallowed blitzball ruin of heaven. After half an hour of wandering aimlessly and killing more big birds with tactless ease, the group was restored!
Minus the whole reason for the journey in the first place....
Rikku, though, told them all about this place called Home, the Al Behd base, where they kept their kidnapped summoners. Everybody jumped on it, even Wakka. All were eager to get their kickass summoner back!
Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle of the desert -
Yuna trembled against the side of Valefore. "Guys?"
