Just as they were about to enter the conference room, he held her back.

He confessed, for the first time, that he had feelings for her.
She smiled brightly and said how she felt the same. At that moment, he wanted her in his arms, to hold her, to kiss her. But they were just a few feet away from the conference room where the meeting about the Fourth Great Ninja War was held. In that place, at that time, with just the candle light by the pillar illuminating their surrounding, he promised her to celebrate Valentine's together again after the war is over and she agreed because fate had brought them together, creating this love they felt for each other. Little did they know that Fate was also going to rip them apart, and that this was their first and last Valentine together.
