Smile Even Though it Hurts
Daphne cringed. Emmett was doing exactly what she did to him. Pain, anger ,ignorance. And she rightly deserved it. Seeing him with Bay made Daphne feel sick to her stomach. How could she have not seen it? Her mom didn't see a problem with it. But Daphne did. Daphne exhaled. One more until summer and she could hole herself up in some book. She put on a brave face. There was no cure, no mathematical formula for love. So why didn't he feel it too? It was Bay. Bay this, Bay that everything was about Bay. Well perfect Bay wouldn't be so perfect if Daphne ever got angry, really angry at her. Daphne wanted so badly to slice her throat. She looked down at her wrists. The cuts said it all. She loved Emmett Bledsoe, but he loved Bay Kennish. Daphne felt her blood boiling. She turned her head and saw them. Daphne felt the tears form in her eyes. She ran upstairs. Nothing was right anymore. How did this happen? She had nothing. Bay took everything from her. Her mom, Emmett, everything. It wasn't fair! Daphne drove her fist through the mirror, shattered the glass and cutting her knuckles.
"AGGGGHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed in frustration. Bay heard this and shuddered. Emmett noticed this and questioned her.
"I. Heard. Daphne. Scream" She relayed. Probably because she saw them, but Daphne had her chance and now she was SOL. Emmett slowly approached the deaf, angry teens room. Daphne wasn't usually like this. He cautiously opened the door, then threw it open, cradling Daphne. Her arm was drenched blood, her eyes with tears.
"Is everything o-my god! Is she ok?" Every bad thought Bay had about Daphne disappeared.
"Daphne? What am I doing she can't hear me!" Bay yelled. Daphne laid lifeless on the floor. Bay began panicking.
-Later-
"It was the blood loss the knocked her unconscious. We found traces of glass in her knuckles, indicating she may have punched something. We also found cuts on her arm, but they weren't fresh. Would she have any reason to cut herself?" No one said a thing.
