"Preston come on, let's get this over with." I whined.
The election was over, but everyone was still in love with the idea of Preston and I. I don't get it, Preston, sure he is adorable, but me and him? Yuck! Okay, I am lying. I guess I have feelings for him. I don't really know where we stand, to be honest.
"Okay, Mace-Lace." Preston said calling me his nickname he came up with. It's really cheesy, yet I love it.
"Preston, I told you a million times, don't call me that." I said.
Preston just laughed, and linked our arms together.
"Love you too." Preston joked.
We walked down the long stairs, to see camera's flashing, trying to get a snap at Preston and I before we go into the ball.
Yes, Preston and I were going to a ball, together. My mother forced me to go, threatening she would cut my credit card up. At least I got to buy a new dress. It was very elegant, a black gown with diamonds embellished into the bust area.
Preston didn't look that bad either; he wore a suit, and slicked his black hair back.
Once we got down from the stairs, we went to the punch bowl because I was dying of thirst. Not really but you get the idea.
After I finished the punch, which was okay, Preston asked me to dance, and doing the polite thing I accepted.
"You look beautiful tonight." Preston whispered into my ear while we were slow dancing.
"Thanks." I said and Preston snickered.
"You're blushing." He whispered.
"No I am not." I protested.
"You are." Preston smirked.
No, Macey McHenry does not blush. Especially from something Preston said.
"Ready for the twirl?" Preston asked.
He twirled me, and dipped me down.
"Macey McHenry," He whispered into my ear, still holding me in a dip position. "I love you."
After he said that he put his lips onto mine, not even for second. At that moment I realized something.
"Preston I love you too." I said, and crashed my lips into his.
Little did I know that we would be on the front page of magazines, and news paper the day.
