Under The Sunny Smile
Tears.
Reflecting fragments of stars
Falling,
Sliding,
Covering a face filled with sadness.
I never knew.
Sunflower hair
Bright, yet dimmed somehow,
But he's still crying.
Silently.
Ocean eyes
Gazing at his hands,
Catching the drops as they fall.
I never noticed before
How sapphire orbs
Could hide such loneliness
Keep it from the world.
He doesn't know I'm here.
Is this how he is when no-one's around?
When there's no-one to depend,
To assume,
That he will always have a smile.
My black bangs hide my eyes,
Made straight by the rain.
But he would still recognize me.
I leave.
I should stay but I don't .
Should comfort him.
But it is too foreign,
I'm not supposed to comfort,
Not supposed to care about people,
Especially not that dobe.
I'm a traitor.
My footsteps taunt me as I walk.
Away.
Nobody notices.
I only do because I know it's there.
I've seen it.
