Kitsune woke up in the middle of the night for what seemed like the thousandth time. Her face was soaked with tears as she ran the nightmare through her head. She shook the thought away, looking over at her sleeping sister, muttering quietly, "No...we're safe here..." She stood up, brushing herself off as she walked out of their house in Ironforge. "King...come on, we're going out to get some fresh air," She smiled at the dark gray stallion that trotted over in response to her call. The horse stood still like stone as the human got on, he quickly sped up into a gallop as commanded. The two soon wound up in Dun Morogh, fresh fallen snow making all movements quiet. Kitsune soon found herself comforting both her and her horse as they heard a growl. Right at that moment she was thrown off her horse as a wolf emerged. She called off after King as he galloped away, "COME BACK!" The wolf took advantage of the moment, closing in on the soon to be dinner. It pounced, attacking the poor human's face, ravaging the right side and taking the right eye. Kitsune screamed, trying to push the wolf away. The rapidly dropping temperature causing the tears she shed to freeze onto her cheeks, and leave her even more weak. The wolf dropped dead as a dwarf shot it, his words being: "Go snack on a rabbit next time...ye bloody beast!" He came closer to see what the wolf was attacking, his hand coming to his mouth as he saw an unconscious human, her face ravaged.

Kitsune woke up hours later, being tended to by healers. Her hand rose to the right side of her face, feeling the somewhat mended area of where her eye should've been. She sat up, shaking her head as tears started to flow from her remaining eye. One of the healers, also a dwarf, handed her an eye patch, obviously made by a gnome. Kitsune put it on, feeling the part that covered where her right eye should be, finding it was like a modified pair of engineering goggles. Another dwarf came in, holding the reins to her horse whom had been found shortly after Kitsune was saved. Kitsune thanked the dwarf, hopping on King as she headed back to Ironforge, trying to act like nothing was wrong...
