Killer perfection Christmas carol

Summary: Christmas fluff in Sengoku jidai aka the Feudal Era, "Warring states period".
Timeline: For BtVS: After episode: What's mine line part 2 (after that it wears to AU). For IinuYasha after Episode: Terror of the Faceless Man (after that AU) and after InuYasha the Movie: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass.
Kagome was happily gathering her things, and most importantly Christmas gifts that she and her cousin from America, who ironically was also reincarnation like her self of a Miko from long ago, compiled for their friends and boyfriends over a span of days.
It helps that Buffy is power shopper; she really is a terror as Kagome's aching feet will attest. And Kagome was genially happy that her cousin appeared one day and speaking Japanese to boot, she explained that it was due to some spell on Halloween, apparently she used Ofuda* that Kagome's grandpa sent in addition to her costume
In fact it was a running gag between the two of them. Kagome herself was reincarnated Kikyo who died about 500 years ago, while Buffy was reincarnation of Taijiya/Miko from 1000 years ago. Even bigger irony was however that both had dealings with Shikon no Tama both their lives in the past and present.
And they had soft spot for Inu-yōkai as well.
Consecration had never been a problem with Sesshomaru, who had mastered the art of concentration for centuries. Unlike his half brother. Who was at the moment, last moment, running around trough villages looking for a present for Miko.
Sesshomaru however already had gifts stashed in a room that his mother prepared a while back. Koujoran* was surprisingly accepting toward Buffy and even helped him acquire one of the gifts for her. Saying that if her son is decided on this human girl, he should not lose her when her human years wear out.
That and she apparently took delight at this present giving custom that both Miko practices at their home. That Buffy was proficient at making sweets that even Koujoran was unable to resist, was definite help with his mother acceptance as well.
Yes he was definitely content with his choices for gifts for important females of his life: new orange yukata with purple butterflies with green obi and matching ribbon for Rin. Ornate golden combs decorated with silver and jade birds along with jeweled comb box. And for Buffy he had ready Furisode made of silk, pastel design of Cherry and Chrysanthemums looking especially delightful brilliant against dark purplish brown background. Obi has pretty white and gold plum blossom pattern on along with Tennyo no hagoromo that his mother produced.
Apparently some foolish human threw the Celestial robe in to the crater of Mount Fuji. Fortunatlya burst of hot air from the creater threw the robein to the air, where his mother picked it up. But at that moment neather himself or his mother knew what to do with it.
Indeed they had no use of it.
But Buffy will.
Who would have thought that This Shesshomaru would follow in his father footsteps and have a human ward in Rin and future mate in Buffy.
