Lost But Not forever

Sara, Jess, Matt and Kristen were all sitting in the breakroom waiting for assignments. Just then the boss came up and interrupted.

"Sara and Jess you have a 419 on Pine and Elgin."

"Yes boss." they said at the same time

Sara and Jess drove up to the house. Sara got this funny feeling like she was being watched and that she had been here before. She and jess walked up to the policeman who was secured the scene and that was now standing guard.

"Did you check all the rooms and made sure that there was no one in the house." Sara said with an uneasy feeling.

"Yes ma'am I did." he sounded puzzled

"Are you okay?" Jess said because she had picked up on the uneasiness in her voice

"Yes I am but I have a feeling something going to wrong. "

But what the officer didn't know was there lurking in the shadows was big man holding a sleeping two year old, but why hadn't the little boy been noticed missing. Well because the foster parent hadn't been the nicest people in the world. So in the wall was a secret door that leads to the little boys room.

They started with the living room the kitchen then the rest of the rooms including the bedrooms. Then Sara was looking closely at the hallway and found what seemed to be a door with a lock.

"Did some one check this room?" she said agitated

"No ma'am." he said

"Why not." Sara said looking worried

"Because I didn't see it Ma'am."

"Okay lets do it now"

So they got the cutters and opened it. It was a little boy's room. Oh my god I know why this looks so familiar.

FLASHBACK

"Miss Sara I know it not easy but you couldn't win" lawyer said

"Yeah whatever" Sara said rolling her eyes

END FLASHBACK

That was one year ago today. Since Sara saw her son he must be just being able to walk. So they looked around the room and found no sign of a child anywhere. Jess looked over at Sara and it looked like she saw a ghost.

" Sara you ok" jess said

"Ya I'm ok" Sara said hoping she wouldn't catch on

" Okay it just you looked like you saw a ghost"

One of her deepest secrets was about to be revealed. Everyone's going to know, but if she ever sees he little boy again she's going to fight for him. Jess went over to the crib and saw the note. It said.

Remember how I won our son. How you lost I remember your face that why you moved because you didn't like me seeing or being around him………..

Jess didn't have time too finish reading the letter before the little boy in question crawled into the room.

"Momeeeee" he cried and looked over at Sara

She picked him up and gave him a big hug. Just then a man walked in the room.

"I see you have caught up with are son"

He went to grab him but Sara didn't let him have him. Then he pulled out a gun and tried to shoot Sara and the boy but the officer standing guard was quick to realise and shoot him first. he fell to the ground then the was a fury of activity. Mother and son were united again.

Will the road ahead be smooth? I don't know
