Jessica stirred in her sleep. The truck jostled her awake again. Ugh, she groaned. she opened her eyes to see the blue stuffed azumarill swaying back and forth on top of the boxes. She sat up, pushed her long blond hair from her face. It was a good makeshift blanket in tough situations. The truck took one last sharp turn and then jolted to a halt. Jessica stood up, brushing the wrinkles from her red dress. Tugging down on the bottom of her lace shirt and black vest, she walked towards the light of the newly opened back doors.

Jessica took a light hop down from the edge of the truck. Looking around at the scenic surroundings. Where am I? There were trees that had an odd block like shape, the houses looked as if they had been made from Lincoln Logs. She walked over to what looked to be an abandoned building. She needed some where to stay.

After pushing the door open she looked around at her surroundings. she let out a slight yelp before jumping back and pressing herself to the outside wall of the house. What were those… things? She peeked around the corner again to see giant, what looked like, grey men. They weren't human, Jessica was sure of that. A shadow ran over her causing her to look up. There were strange birds in the sky that shimmered in the sunlight, almost like metal. Jessica looked through a window that was to her left. The gray beasts were moving boxes back and forth before coming out to the truck to start unloading the newly arrived truck.

What the hell are those things? She moved swiftly behind the house. She hadn't planned this. Jessica noticed a girl with strange pigtails and a red bandana put her book down and get out of the truck to go into the house. Jessica heard the conversation through the open window.

"Hey Mom!"

"Hey Sweetie! I'm glad you made it ok! Isn't this wonderful! Your father got you a new clock to celebrate this wonderful day! Why don't you head upstairs and set it."

"Sounds good."

"Afterwards, why don't you go meet Brandon! He's next door, He's the son of your father's friend, Professor Birch."

"That sounds like a great idea Mom! New friends to go with this new town!"

Jessica rolled her eyes, they fell on the sign in front of the next house that read Professor Birch's House. That's glaringly obvious… she walked slightly hunched to the front door before opening the front door and closing it quietly behind her.
