Blaise/Daphne

Narcissus was the name of a mortal, well renowned for his beauty and intense pride. Fueled by his foolish vanity, Narcissus was lured to a pool of water where, so enamored by his own reflection, he drowned.

Daphne was the name of a naiad, daughter of a monstrous river god and associated with freshwater streams, brooks, and springs but most of all, well renowned for her own heartbreaking beauty.

She was the epitome of that beauty - flaxen haired, with eyes like the azure waters of the Caribbean sea and skin like its alabaster shores. Blaise, with his proud demeanor and dark, striking features was Narcissus, helpless to the lure of the oasis that was Daphne Greengrass. And whensoever she fixed her gaze upon him, he knew what it might feel like to drown; to feel her aquatic chains, so masterfully linked, constricting his lungs like the tendrils of Devil's Snare and robbing him of his breath.

He relished in the hellish torture of it, for it was a death he chased like an addict.

And like the winds that controlled the current of the waves that broke on the ever thirsty sands, she knew that he would always pursue.
