Jade stood by her locker. Today was valentines day, which she hated. She hated seeing all the couples making out all over the place. And she hated all of the gifts. Why would someone want roses that are just going to die? Or candy that's going to make a girl feel fat? Or jewelry that once the couples break up, it's just going to be sold online? You know what Jade wanted? Nothing. Today to her was just another day.

"Guess who." Her eyes were covered by fairly large hands.

"No." Jade said.

"Oh, you're no fun." Beck laughed, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"No, I just hate those stupid cutesy games." She said, shuffling some books around in her locker.

"You're so cute when you hate things." Beck smiled.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"Happy valentines day, Babe." He handed her a bouquet of 12 red roses. She took the roses carefully. She smiled for a second, but then it fell.

"These have thorns." She said.

"And?"

"So you want me to bleed to death?" She asked.

"You love pain." Beck smiled. Jade was speechless. He knew her so well. Then he handed her a black teddy bear with a little red heart that had stitches on it. Actually the whole bear had red stitches all over it.

"It's so cute. It makes me want a person to look like this." Jade hugged the bear. "I didn't get you anything, so I hope your not expecting anything." She said bluntly.

"Well, I was expecting a little something." He smiled slyly. Jade took his face in her hands and kissed him. "Aww, thanks babe, I love it." He said, laughing. Jade laughed and put the teddy bear and roses in her locker.

"FYI, I'm going to be cutting up those roses with my favorite scissors later." Jade said shutting her locker.

"Really? Because I was hoping we could do something else later." Beck said, rocking back and forth on his feet.

"Today?" She asked, putting her bag over her shoulder.

"It is valentines day, a day for lovers." Beck said, holding his arms out to her.

"Well, since you gave me the bear." Jade said, letting him hug her and kiss her temple.

Now that they're broken up, Beck still knew her best. Today was valentines day again, and he was watching her from his locker. She opened her locker and pulled out a bouquet of red roses. She slammed her locker, walked over to the nearest garbage can, took some scissors out of her pocket, and cut up the roses into tiny pieces. After she was done, she had a smile on her face.

Sure, Beck wasn't getting the thank-you's and the kisses that he missed, and he was probably going to be the only guy in class not getting laid tonight, but that didn't matter. He made her smile on a day she hated. For him that was worth it.

AN: So what did you think? It was inspired by one of the reviews for my bad fic cheesey chick flicks, they said Beck still knows her best. And if that person wasn't commenting as a guest I would credit them. Review? :)
