Robert Stacks: Last week a group of children asked us to help find a group of teenagers and children that had rescue them from a group of people who traffic children to pedophile. They only want one thing. To say thank you.

Mike Fitzroy was walking home from basketball practice near his home in Bangor Maine when the ring kidnapped him. For several days he was kept tied up and forced to lay down on the back seat of the car until the car pulled into the driveway,

Mike Fitzroy: I thought when they open the door I would fight my way to freedom.

Robert Stack: As the gang open the door, Mike kick one of them in the crotch and poke the others eyes out.

Mike Fitzroy: As I fled, I ran almost a full block until there was this teenage girl with dishwater blonde hair. I told her what was going on and she said follow me.

Robert Stack: Mike followed and was hidden in the closet of her room. Then, he was hidden in the beach front cottage of a friends of hers name Kate. One day Mike learned while hearing Kate talked to the girl who her name was Lizzie. Alongside Mike Lizzie learned that other children would be rescued and hid out at the cottage.

Such a problem of feeding was solved by Lizzie's brother Matt buying a large amount of school lunch's and smuggling to the children. Another problem solved was clothing which was provided by Lizzie's boyfriend Gordo who worked for a movie studio. Finally, Lizzie escorted Mike over a series of trail to a greyhound bus terminal and told to tell them he was a runaway and he wanted to go home. She give a quick wave and said this was part of Operation Summer Storm, then departed.

Mike Fitzroy: She was like a ghost. She was there and then she was gone.

Robert Stack: Another Summer Storm Child was Irene Patrick's of Carlene Texas. Irene was only six when the gang kidnapped her from the front lawn of her parents home. The gang automatically decided to sell her down in Mexico.

Irene Patricks: I had been driven to a house and I just sat in the car while they went in and standing across the street was this girl who was of mexican ancestry. She gestured with her hand and a group of teenagers came and took out the battery while she who her name is Miranda carried her to an airport where I was flown home.

Robert Stacks: Even though no one would recognize Operation Summer Storm ever existed U. S. Customs and the FBI did eventually bring the ring down after a year-long investigation.

Update

Robert Stack: After we showed our story we received a phone call from Melinka Onassis that she recognized Matt as her friend Matt Mcguire and Lizzie as his older sister.

Lizzie: I came home and my mom call me into the kitchen and said "What have you've done?" and I replied "What?" And she said "Operation Summer Storm." I shrugged my shoulders and answered "Its nothing"

Robert Stack: The next day, the parents of those who participated in operation summer storm told of what there kids have done. None of them said why they did it except for David Gordon.

David Gordon: I'm jewish and when you save a child you save a generation.

Robert Stacks: The most important thing is that the president himself issue this what he thinks about them: "The job they have done is with pride, confidence, heads held high. They are heroes."
