"I should get home. Haven't slept." Annie said and then pulled Jeff for the hug. Surprisingly for her Jeff took a load breath and said " Annie I need to tell you something." She looked at him and was surprised again because Jeff had tears in his eyes. She knew him long enough to know that he REALLY has something important to tell her." I lied to you.." he started " and it was more than once. I 've been lying to you since lying to you since our second year at Greendale. Do you remember that ?" he asked. Of course she remembered. The summer vacation that she spent wondering how fantastic is going to be Jeff's girlfriend and the of course the whole " Annie of it all " thing." Do you mean the time when you ignored me or the one when you embarrassed me in front of the study group ?" she responded but she was more than interested about what he was about to say. " This was the moment when I started lying to you " he said and walked to her. She was standing still waiting for what he was going to do next. " From the moment we kissed I've never told you truth. But now because Pierce is gone I realized that time is moving really fast and this could be my last chance for me to say it to you." Annie never saw Jeff dropping even a single tear but she knew that it's because he's trying really hard to get something deep buried in his heart. She predicted what it was and already tears have build up her own eyes. He put a hand on his cheek and asked softly " What is it Jeff ? Tell me , please ". He manned up pulled her closer to him and said " I..I..love you and I want to be with you Annie" he finally said staring at her with a special look that was only for her. She didn't care if the tears were falling down her face. " One more thing before we are going to kiss for the first time since 5 years I got one question. Why it took you so long ?" He looked at her and they both laughed at the same moment. Moments later they kissed. The difference between their kisses was that this one was finally supposed to start a new chapter for both of them. No more misleading signs, awkward situations just a pure love between two people that were meant for each other from the very beggining.
