Safe behind the mask
Cold glass covers my face,
From the world.
Unfeeling humans and hearts
Are tearing this world apart
Carefully they're coming
For my mask
My shield
My home…
To many times
She's come into my life
And taken my safety
Away from me.
A security blanket for a child
My mask is my security
Identity hidden from the world
I'm safe
Behind the mask,
I can do anything.
