After the Ceremonial Duel, Yami was given another chance at live which was gladly also returned all of Yami's memories pre-Memory world revealing startling new information. Although Atem ruled after Aknamkanon's death, the title Queen fitted better than King. Yami was a girl. Though at first a bit disconcerting for both Yami and the gang they all soon adjusted. Six months after the Ceremonial Duel Yami declared her love for Yugi which he returned and they became a happy couple.
Often confused by modern holidays, Yami usually didn't start out enjoying them, though spending them with her friends made them more enough Yami was faced by another holiday, Father's Day.
"Yami, Wakey wakey."Yugi said beginning the daily task of attempting to rouse his beautiful and usually peaceful girlfriend. After Yugi coaxed her head out from under the sheets, she took a look at the calendar and pulled the covers back up again. "Yugi", Yami growled, "It is SATURDAY. Why are attempting to drag me out of bed at 7:00 IN THE MORNING? "We're opening the shop this morning remember?" Said Yugi snatching away Yami's covers. Groaning as she remembers she drags herself out of bed and stalks to the bathroom grubling. Soon enough the two open the Kame Game Shop for the day.
"Why are we doing this again?" groaned Yami for the 3rd time that afternoon, " If we have any more customers, i'll go mad." Yugi looks at Yami in surprise. "I didn't tell you about this holiday did I?" Yugi asked sheepishly. "Another one!" Groused Yami "What is it called? What is it about and why didn't you tell me about it earlier?" "It's called Father's Day. It's about helping out and honoring fathers and father figures and I forgot to tell you because I was busy planning Grandpa's present." At Yami's look of utter confusion, Yugi explains "I never met my mom or dad Grandpa and Grandma were the only people I had and now that Grandma is gone he's the only blood relation I know. He raised be to be the person I am today and I honor that by celebrating Father's Day with him." Yami nods her understanding. "We had a similar Holiday in Egypt. All fathers, even the Pharaoh himself if he had time, stayed home from work and spent time with their families. I remember playing games with my dad while dinner was being cooked." "Will you help me plan the rest of Grandpa's Father's Day?" Asked Yugi. "Of Course, Abiou."
