Disclaimer: Not mine.

A/N: I really don't know where this came from. It just…popped out. The pairing is Sirius/Lucius (I know, hard to tell), and, please, don't review to tell me the sentences don't make sense. I am aware that my sentence structure would kill my English teacher; however, I wanted to experiment with a new style.

/Fair of face and black of heart; pale limbs intertwined/

He arches his back as the pain hits him like a whip; no, not pain; it's love, but what's the difference…

/Screamed names, whispered words/

He bares his teeth and attacks with a wild abandon; reveling in the shudders of the man under him; shudders matched in his own body…

/Dark hair drapes like a curtain; hiding them from a world that does not understand/

Body against body, flesh against flesh; nights of no words and only ragged breaths…

/The nameless feeling that rises in them; love or hate or a pure struggle for power/

One forearm bared; bared and marred by the mark of darkness; in the lonely night it is seen before it draws back under the covers…

/A hissed intake of breath; the door opens; a dark figure enters the night/

And they leave with no words between them; shoving the memories into a tiny space in their heads, cutting out that name like cutting a face from a picture; and they meet not for years and years…

/Battle; the word is sharp and harsh, but what else could fit the surrounding carnage/

And after fifteen years they set eyes on each other, gray on gray, and memories of lonely nights spring unbidden to their minds and hateful words spring unbidden to their lips; jeers and taunts; one would never realize what had once been…

/Cold sneers on either side; and lonely nights are almost forgotten/

There is nothing more to say and one drawn wand can change everything; blonde-haired and sneering no more he falls to the ground at his feet; the dark haired one feels no pain, feels nothing and he spits at the lifeless body…

/He spits at the lifeless body and raises his wand once more; to his own head this time/

He falls too; falls and covers his lover; because in death they can afford to unlock the memories from the back of their heads; and in death they can be one again; like lonely nights once forgotten…

/Fair of face and black of heart; pale limbs intertwined/
