Although it was Autumn already, it still certainly felt like summer - well, that's what Hermione thought. But then again, that probably was the hazy light-headed feeling that happened when you were head-over-heels in love with Ron Weasley.
Hermione and Ron walked the corridors, both Head Girl and Boy respectively, but despite the new added pressure of their service to the school, they were both feeling extremely relaxed. After all, when one battles Voldemort, going back to school feels like a holiday.
Hermione looked down her arm, and loved the feeling of her fingers entwined with Ron's, the harsh callousness of his skin contrasting with the soft delicate flesh of hers. She looked up and saw him smiling at her, and they found they were quite consumed by each other, looking into each others eyes, as they entered the courtyard.
They stopped and embraced for a moment, their emotion taking over, and thankfulness that they had survived such horrors like the war. Hermione gripped Ron's face, and drew her thumb over his cheek, pressing her lips ardently against his as he held her tiny waist in his large hands.
"Oi!" Ginny called, pacing towards them, Luna and Neville in tow, "Get a room you two," She winked, walking past them, and they turned to follow. Ron wrapped his arm around Hermione's shoulders, her arm gripping his waist, and followed Ginny, Luna and Neville along the Viaduct.
Ron looked down at Hermione and smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
