"Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know! Well, now they know!" I groan hearing my girlfriend singing the overly played song.
"Cat! Shut it!" Eeep! I hear and laugh.
"But why?" I sigh.
"Because, although your voice is amazing, that song has gotten old, really fast." She sits up on her bed to look over at me. "Plus, Demi's version is so much better." She sighs.
"I know she's your celebrity crush but that doesn't mean that it's better!" I laugh.
"It is better."
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yeah-huh!" Wow, her childishness is rubbing off on me... Ew.
"Nope!"
"Yup!"
"I could do this all day, babe." Shit, I just called her babe and by the look in her eyes she's not gonna let it go.
"Babe? Like the pig?" I sigh and then laugh. Damn, I love her.
"No..." Her face is confused. "Babe as in, baby."
"A little kid?" Oh gosh... This is getting complicated.
"No, honey."
"The thing bees make?"
"No, all three names as in the names couples call their sugnifigant other." I wish there was some other way to explain it.
"Oh... Well then.. Demi's version isn't better... Babe." It doesn't sound right coming from her. I smile at her attempt anyways though.
"Oh, kid, it is."
"Oh, Sammy, it's not." I sigh, walking over and sitting on her bed, opposite of her.
"Little Red-" And I'm cut off.
"Little Red? What's that supposed to mean?" I sigh.
"Just my nickname for my short, beautiful, red head girlfriend." She giggles.
"Let's leave which versions better alone, okay?" She asks with her big brown eyes.
"Okay, I love you."
"I love you too!" She giggles and hugs me.
"Demi's versions better." I say before walking over to my own bed and sitting down.
