Summary: Elizabeth starts noticing some frightening similarities to a man she earlier denied being anything like. Takes place towards the end of DMC, just after Elizabeth abandoned Jack to the kraken.
"Oh, you coward!"
Elizabeth had been furious as she had watched Jack abandon his crew, his friends, and his beloved ship to face the kraken alone, all to save his own life. The incredible selfishness of it had appalled and disgusted her. That this, pirate, had thought his one life so important as to abandon those he supposedly cared about, it was . . . exactly as she had done. She had abandoned him, to the kraken, without any hope of escape, without even a chance to fight. All for herself, not for the crew. All because she had wanted to continue living, to try and forget about all this, and have the wedding that had been so carelessly interrupted. He had called her a pirate too, she remembered. 'I'm exactly like him' she thought. 'Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. . .'
