A Morning Greeting

The morning crimson greeted the inventor's dormitory a pleasant good morning. She smiled back as a silent reply. She yawned and stretched her arms wide open and thought about what she'd do first. Of course, the usual habits then have a stroll along the park.

On the other side of the quarters, someone rose from his sleep. He squinted at the morning light which seemed to turn everything in his room into gold. His lustrous hair was in disarray however his expression was calm. He got up from the sea of sheets and did his 'usuals.'

The air made her feel better after the pressuring tests and exams they've just had a few days ago. Her thoughts were filled with new ideas which were giving her the chills of excitement. She couldn't wait. It's a one week break and she wouldn't want to waste her free time on unnecessary things. She took a bite on her loaf of bread and searched around the area for a place to rest.

The quarters were silent and the birds sang their praises for a new morning. He glanced at the park and had a thought of having a short walk with his best friend. He knocked at his comrade's room several times and no one answered. He moved to his room, changed his attire and left the building.

She sat under a large shady tree and brought out a book about machinery. She read each page slowly and silently until she was interrupted by a squirrel which fell on a bush. She giggled at the squirrel then continued on reading. Within the pages of her book, she found a few pictures of the man she loves however he looked like a strange maniac which she'd always laugh at. Thinking of it made her face paint itself red. She shyly closed the book and stared up at the deep azure sky, thinking of it; thinking of him.

He skipped happily on the brick road and hummed a catchy tune. He went around the park and greeted his animal friends. As he was skipping, he noticed someone taking a nap under the large tree where he'd used to take naps and end up skipping class. He sneaked up to the person quietly then took a glance at the face. His puzzled expression turned into a cute face of scarlet. He sat beside her and smiled at her calm sleeping position. He closed his eyes and abruptly placed his lips on hers gently then whispered a short phrase in her ear.

She heard his words. They were pleasing her thoughts, fulfilling her dreams. His voice was like honey. She couldn't resist. Before he returned to the brick pathway, she took his arm and hugged him tightly.

"I'll never let you go." She whispered. "Not anymore."

"I'll never go away from you." He replied. "Never."

She giggled softly then looked at his eyes. He gave her another solemn kiss. She replied to his. He laughed. She glanced shyly.

"I love you." He kissed her passionately. "I'll hold you close no matter how long forever lasts."

"So will I."
