Dean has been hiding something, and Padma can't figure out what it is. She hasn't been to his house in weeks; whenever she asks him out, he responds with an "I'm kinda busy. Sorry, Padma." It worries her – what's he doing without her? Before this, he's spent at least half the week with her. Now, they've done nothing but owl.

So it's incredibly surprising when he Floos her one day, after three weeks of near silence, and invites her over.

Padma is shocked, but nevertheless, she obliges her boyfriend, jumping into the fire Dean's head has just disappeared into and clearly enunciating his address. "Hey, Addie," Dean says happily when she arrived. Padma is more confused than ever; they haven't talked in weeks, and here he is, acting as if it's been a minute. "I have a surprise."

"What's that?" Padma asks.

Dean doesn't beat around the bush; he unveils from his easel a gorgeous painting, perfectly colored, seemingly a photograph. Padma is amazed – and, best of all, it is her.

"Dean," she gasps in amazement.

"D'you like it?"

"It's amazing," she says happily, and she wraps her arms around his neck, landing on his lips a lovely kiss.
