She was gone. She was fucking gone and his heart sank deeper in the depths of despair. No more hope of new friendship, no more pair of green eyes, green that reflected sometimes his own jealousy, sometimes his hope. Tears flowing on his face and every tear burned his skin, burned the empty place where his heart used to be so long time ago.

For the first time he saw her he knew she was a witch. There was something different about her if you compared her to her ugly muggle sister. She had the magic in her eyes. When he first time told her that she thought he was a freak. But then she got used to magic and before he knew it green eyes made their way to his heart and now he knew the only way of getting rid of them would break his heart, heart that shouldn't feel anything. They were best of friends and that was more than he could ever ask for.

He had arrived to the train with her and a knot in his stomach tightened every moment they moved closer to Hogwarts. If he would be separated from Lily he wouldn't know what to do. She was the only one who understood him, only one who liked him. She had made more than once his life worth of living. He wouldn't let her go. He hadn't never before felt warmth of heart and he did approve the feeling. When he stepped out his mind was screaming but his face didn't betray him, he just gazed there and there appraising everything he saw. And then, in the castle, old hat separated them. Not for long, but he had been so sure they could be together in Hogwarts. Now he would face the Slytherins alone..mind screaming he walked to the table and smiled coolly.

He knew things weren't same anymore. And he hated it, he hated it so much. Lily was concerned because his new "friends" and she was fading away from him. He couldn't move on without her, he knew that much. Not now when he was still so young and beat of his heart could stop so easily. Not by death but by abandon. He knew they couldn't stay together forever but he didn't want to believe it. But when the time came the word came, not easily, but still it came. Forbidden word, never allowed to use, the word he was forced to say and he regretted it and hoped Lily could understand him how she had used to.

"Mudblood."

Two hearts stopped and only one continued beating.
