"Dairine, Dairine, Dairine, those schematics are all wrong!" Dairine heard that hushed exclamation and stiffened. "Rosahun…" she whispered then shook her head. 'NO! He's gone, he's not coming back!' She went back to work until she felt a hand rubbing small circles on her upper back, inching higher till it rested on her neck where it tugged playfully on the string of speech that held a large emerald around her throat. At this she gasped and turned around sharply to look at the tall figure behind her.

She looked at his face, the small sad smile on his lips, his lank but still amazing long blonde hair, and his eyes, his tired and hollow eyes staring straight into her own. She gasped again, looked away, and looked back; he was still there. "How-?" she stopped and tried to find the right words, and in those moments her anger bubbled up. "Where the hell were you? You scared me! I was so worried! I thought you had left me alone, I thought you had died…" She had started out strong, but her words faded into a sob as un-wanted tears plagued her cheeks.

Her breath was cut short as she felt a large hand swoop under her chin and lift her face to the owner's eyes. He leaned in, slowly at most, and kissed away her tears. "Sorry," he ground out, that same smile on his face, "I didn't mean to make you feel that way." He smiled again and let his hand leave her face. "WHY are you smiling? You almost DIED!"

She screamed at him, fresh angry tears once again streaming down her face. "Because…" he started, then hesitated, "because I survived to see you…crying…for me, why wouldn't I smile?" His thoughts poked their way into her conscious, and the result was un-expected to him. The red mark on his face stinging, his eyes dropped to her hair, his hands to her face, and he kneeled down, quickly joining his mouth with her own before she could complain. Her eyes shot open and she struggled for a moment before letting go and moaning into the as his hand found it's way to her hair. He broke away first, and staring into what must be a very flushed face, he chuckled. "You seem to have enjoyed that, am I correct?" She swayed a little before nodding slightly and hiccupping.

He stood up, taking her with him, and headed for the door. "I am so hungry! Have any lollipops?" He asked in a hurried voice as he led her to the kitchen. "I've been living off my pocket provisions this whole time, and let me tell you it was not suitable for someone like me." He said the last part coming out in a sarcastic tone. This succeeded in jolting Dairine from cloud nine, and an look that was half amused, half fake-annoyed spread across her features. "I'm sure, you can find your own crap in the cupboards." She then turned and ran up the stairs, preparing to do something she never dreamed of doing.
