I was just studying for my English final when all of a sudden, BAM! This idea came to me. Just read it.
Ai Shiteru, Koibito:
Shikamaru smiled as he looked up at the clouds, remembering her. The troublesome girl who changed his life.
Her deep green eyes shone with happiness.
They were strong
They were brave
They were free
They betrayed no weakness;
Except towards him.
Shikamaru could see past that which was a mask, and that which made it seem like she was alright with everything. He didn't notice, and they had been together for so long.
Her deep green eyes displayed showed sadness.
They showed pain
They showed anxiety
They were heartbreaking
They were full of torment;
And so he lent her a shoulder to cry on when everything went wrong.
They had a thing, they knew. She loved him, he loved her back. They admitted it, and they dated each other. With her family's approval, of course. They wouldn't have it any other way.
Eventually they got married, and Shikamaru noticed that although her eyes held sadness, pain, anxiety, and torment, these things were in the past. He had helped her heal. Her eyes were cheerful, happy, strong, brave, and free. But most of all they were filled with love; and they caused even the Kazekage, Gaara, to smile along with Neji and Sasuke. Gaara himself had never smiled before. Now here was a girl who could change peoples' hearts.
They had kids; first a boy, then a girl. Botan and Machiko. They were a lot of trouble, but finally they left the house after becoming wonderful ninja. Machiko was top of her class; Botan found school too troublesome. Ah, well; like father like son.
Shikamaru and his wife lived until the day that she died on a mission together; S-rank. No one could do anything about it. They were ninjas; this is what happened. That didn't stop Shikamaru from crying. He had, after all, just lost the most important thing in his life; his love.
Now Shikamaru lay on the hill she was buried on, watching the clouds as they passed by so slowly…everything was peaceful. The wind seemed to whisper to him as it swept through the trees. It seemed to be calling to him. He gradually, serenely, closed his eyes for the last time.
Ai shiteru, koibito...
Please review! Tell me what you think! Is it good or bad? No flames, though, please. I know for a fact it isn't that bad.
