Author's note - Just a little Snickers one shot! Enjoy!

After a long day at work all Sara wanted to do was go home and snuggle up on the sofa with a bottle of beer and a burger. She had found a letter from Grissom yesterday. He was asking for a divorce. Sara didn't know what to do. She thought she loved him but now she's seen the real Gil Grissom, she wasn't so sure. Of course she admired him but love? Her microwave beeped. A sign that her burger was ready. She had got the beer out already and she carried the food over to the coffee table. She had just sat down when she heard the doorbell go. She let out an exasperated sigh. Who is it? Please don't let it be one of the girls from work. I love them but right now I need to be alone. She debated whether to ignore the door but eventually she got up and answered it. It was Nick.

"Hey. Are you ok?" he said as she let him inside

"Yeah I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?"

"You just got asked for a divorce."

"Well it wasn't working anymore. I'm fine. Do you want a beer?"

"Thanks. Sara, I've known you for ages and I can tell when you aren't happy. Are you gonna tell me what's up?"

"Grissom."

"The divorce?"

"I thought I loved him but now I'm not sure. I still look up to him but I just don't think what I felt for him was love."

"Hey, come here." he said and pulled her into a hug. She could smell his aftershave. It overwhelmed her and made her head go dizzy. This wasn't the scent though, this was something else. "Look, how about you sit down and I make us some proper food then we can talk about it?"

"Ok, Thanks Nick."

"Hey, it's fine."

Nick got to work on making them dinner while Sara sat and watched TV. She looked at the letter on the table and imagined Grissom reading it.

Dear Sara,

I love you but I can't go on like this. We aren't working and I think it would be best if we ended it and moved on. You will always have a big place in my heart but I think a divorce would be best. Please tell me you agree.

Lots of love

She still hadn't replied. What would she say? Of course she agreed but she didn't know how to put that in a letter. She was constantly unhappy but she felt that it wasn't because of Grissom. She was brought back to reality by Nick's voice shouting her to the table.

He had made spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread. It looked, and smelled, delicious. She didn't know Nick could cook. Must be one if his hidden talents she thought.

"Wow," she said after eating a forkful, "this is amazing! I didn't know you could cook!"

"Yeah well, growing up I helped in the kitchen almost everyday. I'm glad you like it." He smiled.

"I love it. Thanks." she beamed him a smile.

As they continued eating they would both find themselves staring at each other. After the meal Nick insisted on washing up. Once he had finished he sat on the sofa with Sara watching TV. About halfway through the programme they were watching Sara noticed that Nick had wrapped his arms around her. She felt safe and comfortable in his embrace. She turned her head to see him. He was looking at her. She found herself gazing into his eyes. Slowly she lifted her head to be eye level with his. Suddenly his lips crashed with hers.

"Sorry, I didn't think." he apologised.

She kissed him again, this time she kissed him with as much love as he had. After a couple of minutes they pulled away.

"Its fine. I liked it." she laughed.
