Her best friend had betrayed her, her love for him and for her other best friend…Kikyo. It hurt to know she would always be second best to Kikyo. Inuyasha and me had been best friends for 4 years, then the other three years of our 'friendship,' didn't evn exist.

Inuyasha's Party
"Hey Sango, what's up?" Kagome said excitedly
"Nothing Kagome, doesn't this party rock!" Sango said as she moved to the blaring music
"Yeah, it's so much fun, by the way, I love your outfit!" Kagome said as she eyed Sango's beautiful purple silk top and black miniskirt.
"I'm sure it'll catch the eyes of a certain pervert."
"Shut-u, Kagome, and your outfit just might catch the attention of our favorite hanyou." For the day of the party Kagome wore a black skinny jeans with a pair of American eagle flats and a sapphire blue tube top.
Kagome blushed at Sango's comment and tried to change the topic.
"By the way Sango, have you seen Inuyasha?"
"Yeah I think I saw him sitting in his family room with Kikyo."
"Thanks Sango."
I headed towards the livening room, but not before fixing my hair and clothes and re-applying some gloss.
My heart was beating loudly with each step I took, this would be the day I'd tell Inuyasha how I felt about him, just thinking about the idea was making me blush.
I got near the entrance and gasped, what made me shocked was not how handsome Inuyasha looked, but how he was holding Kikyo's hand and staring into her eyes lovingly. I tried to run, to sprint, but my feet were glued to the floor. I wish though I had moved because the next thing he said made my heart shatter right there.
"Kikyo, I really like you, will you go out with me."
"I'd love to Inuyasha, but what about Kagome, she really likes you and I'm her best friend."
"Listen Kikyo I like Kagome, but I like you even more. I love your personality too, it's so much better than Kagome's. I love your laugh and your smile, I love the way you get crazy over chocolate ice-cream. I love everything about you Kikyo, not Kagome. Kikyo, I..I think I love you"
"I think..I love you too, Inuyasha. Then they kissed, it wasn't a peck on the lips kiss it was a passionate kiss.
I couldn't speak, my face fell, and my eyes started to blur, I felt like knives had stabbed my chest and I fell to the floor and sobbed, I felt betrayed, I felt alone, I felt angry, but most of all I felt empty. I felt like shit. I got up and ran. I slammed the door and ran
