I am in the process of working on a longer story and this drabble is the beginning of it. The title of the story will be "One True Friend".
Thanks for reading.
He knew.
The second he heard the call that the missing officer had been found, and was alive.
He knew.
As he raced to his friend and saw the needle marks on his arm and the agony on his face.
He knew.
Right then and there he prayed for empathic abilities that would allow him to absorb his friends suffering and make it his own.
He knew.
He loved Hutch more than himself and there was nothing that he wouldn't do to protect his friend.
He knew.
He would die for Hutch.
But could he tell him?
Would he understand?
