Tobias opened the front door to Gibbs' house. He knew by the lack of truck in the driveway that Gibbs wasn't home, but the light on in the front room meant someone was.
"Evening, Tobias." Dr. Ryan sat on the couch with a beer, watching a movie that Fornell guessed she had brought over from her own place.
"Dr. Ryan." Tobias grabbed his own beer from the fridge and joined grey haired woman on the couch.
"He hasn't been home for almost a week." Dr. Ryan started, "Tony, Tim, and Ziva have all been here to get him things, but, he's not been here once."
"You think he's ok?" Tobias asked with a sigh.
"What do you think?" She glanced over at him, and apparently something in his face or posture had answered her question because she went on, "They're all worried about him, and I am too."
"He's focused on catching Dearing, and I don't think they can change that."
"Well someone has too!" Ryan snapped, "He's gonna end up killing himself."
"We could try it. If the bastard will listen to anyone, he'll listen to us."
"Well, if I know Gibbs the way I think I do, we'll need superhero powers, and, last time I checked, I'm no Super Woman."
"Well," Tobias chuckled, standing up from the couch, "I do know of one superhero that had no actual super powers."
Dr. Ryan smiled, apparently catching his drift.
"I guess it's settled then," She said, taking Tobias' hand to help herself up, "you're Robin, I'm batman!"
