Yay, another Super Rio story from Marco!
Said no one ever due to the fact that I give logic the middle finger while simultaneously killing off the whole main cast.
But let's kick another story off with a bang.
Narration:
Infinity stones.
The most powerful objects in the universe, with the power to destroy entire countries in seconds.
But, their power could only be unleashed through the infinity armor, a suit of golden metal that has spots for each stone to sit.
The green stone, the eye of Agamoto sat on the helmet piece.
The red stone, the wing of Perces sat on the left wing piece.
The orange one, the wing of Odeus sat on the right wing piece.
The purple stone, the heart of power sat in the center of the chest piece.
The yellow stone,the claw of Alex was on the left battle claw.
The red stone, the claw of Memoro was on the right battle claw.
Altogether, these were the most powerful forces in reality.
In the year 3000 BC, an all powerful being known as Thanos, a purple macaw, attempted to take over the earth with them.
With an army of demon like creatures known as Underlings,(I don't know what Thanos' soldiers are called) he ravaged the world.
Army after army fell to his power, he stole the infinity stones, almost having all 6.
The last stone, the Claw of Alex, sat in the great halls of Ga'Hoole.
And Thanos came to take it.
But the Guardians were not alone against this threat.
All the other forces on earth banded together to fight Thanos and save their home.
The Guardians of Ga'Hoole, fought alongside the Pure Ones.
The Ice Claws of Russia fought besides the Valhalla Honor guard.
All the birds of South America fought with the avians of Africa.
All together they pushed Thanos back, charging, retreating and counter attacking.
The sound of screaming filled the air, blades were soaked in blood and feathers saturated with it.
The greatest warriors of their time fought for the safety of earth.
Millions fell beneath Thanos, before he was finally defeated.
The purple macaws head fell to the ground, and the Underlings retreated.
But there were no songs sung that night, nor tales told.
For the dead, were beyond the count of god.
Pure Ones, Guardians, Macaws, Hawks, Parrots. The ground was littered with the dead or dying forms of brave souls, willing to lay down their lives for the good of the world.
That day, it is said the sobs of millions of wives could be heard across the globe.
The aftermath of a true doomsday, massacre, slaughter.
The sea of Hoollemere ran red with blood that night.
But earth was saved and one stone was entrusted to each continent.
The Claw of Alex was left at Ga'Hoole, the Heart of Power was given to the birds of asia, The Claw of Memoro was given to the hawks of Frozen Fjord (remember them?), the Wing of Odeus was entrusted to the Ice Claws of Russia, the Wing of Perces was entrusted to the Pure Ones (with some objections from the guardians), the Eye of Agamoto entrusted to the birds of South America and the Heart of Power entrusted to the birds of Africa.
Each stone was locked away in strongholds, forgotten about or heavily guarded, all factions agreed to never use the stones, even the evil Pure Ones agreed.
For over 5000 thousand years, the Infinity stones were not used, that was until the Eye of Agamoto was used by Lai to fully take control of a blue macaw's body.
The Guardians of Ga'Hoole were attacked by Lai, after Valhalla, but Lai luckily did not find the Claw of Alex.
But the stone was destroyed when a robotic macaw blew it up, killing Lai and ending the threat of one infinity stone.
After the defeat of Lai, the world went into peace for 3 years.
Blu had grown a slight alcohol addiction in order to drown out the screams of those he killed in his head, and to block out the images of his friends deaths.
Blu had attended Angelo, Tomada, Sorrel, Scorcher, Luca and Alondra's funerals, feeling guilt over what he did.
Their bodies lay next to where Blu had been buried after his first confrontation with Lai.
But back to Blu's life.
His son, Tiago, had begun dating a blue macaw named Ruby and they were going steady.
Bia and Carla were still single, much to their own dismay, but their parents assured them there was someone out there for them.
Blu and Jewel had gotten a little bit older, small wrinkles appearing here and there.
Eduardo had retired command of the tribe to Blu, who lead as a kind and careful bird.
He managed to avoid conflict with other tribes, along with strengthening connections with the Raptor Corp, Guardians of Ga'Hoole and Guardians of Valhalla.
The stress of the job was aging him slightly, but there was another reason.
The other reason for Blu's aging was, well… he was no longer immortal.
Lai's blood had flown through his veins, tainting his body.
He no longer had immortality, but he was happy.
It meant that he was all the more likely to die with his wife.
But life was good for the birds of the world, mostly.
Many birds had lost loved ones to Lai and were struggling to put their lives back together.
In a gesture of kindness, Blu helped rebuild Rio.
The Darkness and Blue Phoenix helped him out, but did not give him their powers.
Blu had personally asked for them not to do so, if a little bit of Lai was still within him, that would prove catastrophic.
After a couple years of hard work, Rio was back to normal.
The Guardians were back home and all his friends wounds healed.
Magnus was rebuilt, this time, Alex, Duke and Blu had put in a certain added 'feature'.
Nanobots, Magnus had a coat of moving metal.
Using his mind, he could turn the bots into a sword, a shield or an extra layer of armor.
Magnus and Lukhas returned to their jobs, managing the Rio defense force.
All across the world, from the Amazon to the Himalayas, peace reigned.
But evil was not gone, in a cave on the highest peak of the Himalayas mountains was a spix macaw.
He was fairly tall, just above Blu's height and was covered from head to tail in muscles.
He lived a solitary life next to the Underling temple.
News of the defeat of Lai reached his doorstep, but the bird was happy.
"Perhaps they are worthy of a fight", he declared, "well, that brings a smile to my face".
The spix walked along the inside of the cave until he reached a stone closet.
"Let's give them a war", he opened the closet to reveal a suit of golden armor, glistening and polished.
On each piece was a spot to place a stone, and infinity stone.
The macaw slid his wing into one of the wing pieces, "prepare yourself, Blu. For I. Am. Nightfly".

Blu opened his single remaining eye, scanning his hollow.
The bright light of the sun penetrated deep into the darkness of the den.
He looked to his side to see the sleeping form of his wife.
He smiled and got up, being sure not to wake up his kids or his wife, before leaving the hollow to gather some breakfast.
Soaring through the rich tropical air relaxed Blu, allowing him to go to his thoughts.
But going to his thoughts was something Blu hated doing, every time it was the images of his slaughtered friends.
Even after 3 years he still felt guilt over their deaths, if only he had been stronger.
He was kicked out of his thoughts when he felt another bird pull up alongside him.
He turned his head to see none other than Alex the Owl flying to his right.
"Mornin' Blu. How ya doin'?", he asked.
Blu shrugged, "I'm doing well, job's aging me poorly though".
Alex groaned, "I know, life's kind of boring without any threats. Makes me almost miss Lai, Prev and the countless other baddies we've faced".
Blu just gave Alex an unamused look, "I don't miss 'em. I miss the friends that died against them".
Alex looked down, "Dude, it wasn't your fault. Lai did it".
"*sigh*, I know. It's less knowing what I did, more knowing what I could have done. If I was stronger I could've stopped Lai, but I failed".
Alex felt genuinely sad for his friend, "I know the feeling, the gut wrenching thought of knowing you could've done more but failed. It is how I think about my mother and brother. But I got over it and have settled down with Skyler and the rest of my friends. Besides, I was the reason Prev came here".
"Oh yeah, how did you a Prev meet?", asked Blu.
Alex chuckled, "I'll tell you".
Years before
Vancouver
Alex stood on the snow covered slopes of Mount Harvey, staring down the hawk known as Prev.
The 2 glared at each other, before charging.
Prev had a sword (not Dauntless) , so he used it to parry a strike from Alex's wingblade.
Prev pushed Alex back before returning with a swing of his sword, grazing Alex's chest.
Alex put one wing over the cut, while the other fended off Prev's relentless assault.
The snow owl was soon able to kick Prev back, following with a quick cut to the leg.
Prev snarled before grabbing Alex and throwing him into a nearby rock.
Alex groaned in pain as his back arched against the stone, before falling into the snow.
He noticed that his scream caused some snow to fall down the mountain, "Let's try this".
He began shouting at Prev, confusing the hawk, "What are you doing, owl!?", he yelled.
Alex quickly stopped yelling and grinned at Prev, the hawk was confused until a low rumbling sound filled the air.
He turned to see a wave of snow storming down the mountain, feet away from him.
Alex quickly took to the sky and watched as Prev was engulfed by the white snow.
He smiled before quickly flying away, leaving Prev buried under several thousand tons of ice and snow.
Present.
"So you just have to remember, you can't do everything or control the world. You just prepare for the worst", said Alex as he finished his story.
"You're right, as usual. But I still just have that feeling that something bad's going to happen, and I'll be powerless to stop it".
Alex put on a smile, "Hey man, you've fought gods, demons, spirits and some of the strongest warriors of all time. You can take on the world".
Blu smiled, "you know what, you're right. But for now let's just get some breakfast".
Alex shrugged, "I'm down for that".
The 2 lighted onto a tree branch, Blu grabbing some mangoes and Alex diving to the ground and catching some mice.
Once the 2 birds had gathered their meals, they said goodbye and left for their own respective hollows.
Alex was met with kiss from Skyler, while Blu was met with the snoring of his family.
Blu put the fruits against the wall, not wanting to cause his kin to stir from their slumber.
After planting a gentle kiss on Jewel's forehead, he left to begin his duties as chief of the tribe.
Blu started by patrolling with Roberto and a few other macaws for a few hours, next he had to settle a dispute between some farmers, at lunch he returned to his hollow to spend some time with Jewel and the kid, after that he and Jewel both paid Eduardo a visit.
The final job of the day was to show up at this months pit of doom match.
But this time, he didn't fight.
He sat in the stands and watched others fight, "Ah, this brings back so many memories", he said while wrapping his wing around Jewel.
"Me too, I remember sitting here and watching you fight when I was younger". She replied.
"God, I remember it like yesterday", said Blu, turning his eyes to the game.
He watched as a blue macaw grabbed a scarlet and put them into a kimikura lock, like he had done all those years ago.
"Hye Blu" said Jewel, "Isn't that the move you used that one time?".
"Yep, looks like someone caught on", declared Blu, while smirking.
After a couple more fights the game was done and everyone began heading home, Blu and Jewel included.
They arrived at their hollow, where their offspring were relaxing.
"Hey guys", said Blu who received a greeting in return.
"Remember, our trip to Rio is tomorrow", said Blu, causing a cheer to erupt from the kids.
The family enjoyed some fruit before going to sleep.
Blu and Jewel were lying down in their nest, dreaming pleasant dreams.
But across the world, a being of pure evil was making a comeback.
Himalayas
Nightfly stood in the Underling temple, his golden armor bouncing light around the room.
In front of him was a portal, leading to a world of black.
"Come forth my legions" said Nightfly, "Let the world know your wrath once more".
Out of the portal came a black bird, looking like a macaw but as dark as night.
After the first one, hundreds more came streaming out, like a wave of darkness.
"HAHA, let's see the world stand up to us now", one Underling flew up to Nightfly.
"Sir, who should we attack first?", Nightfly grinned.
"Let's pay the Lai slayer a visit, shall we?".
I am stoked to write this one, but do please review and give suggestions for this story.
