Betty put on her big travel backpack with all the pockets on it. She loved her backpack it had a nancy drew patch on it and a sweet magnifying glass keychain.
"bye mom,Chic, I'm going the beaches of new york city with the gang"
"oh no, you're not." Alice Cooper said walking real fast from behind the kitchen counter.
"Why not, Mom." Betty angerily said.
"Because you never even asked me if you could go the the beaches of new york city"
Chic interupted. "let her go. She's old enough to make her own desicisons. "
"okay" Alice said. "Chic is my favorite son, so I'll listen to him"
Betty glared at Chic because she hated him because he used her shower sometimes. Then Betty left.
"Hey, Ma Ma," Chic said , pulling a big jug of orange juice out of the fridge.
"What is it , my newfound son?" Alice said.
"Can me and Betty switch rooms?"
"Why would you need to switch rooms ? Yours is perfectly fine."
"She has a better shower. it has better water pressure for my sensitive skin."
Alice looked shocked. "You have sensitive skin? You say your showers water is bothering you?"
Chic nodded into the big jug of juice.
"Then of course you can switch rooms, baby, I'm sure Betty will understand." Alice said hugging Chic.
Chic grinned. Finally he would have the good shower.
Alice grinned knowing this would bother her daughter. She loved chaos. And was also angry Betty went on a vacation without asking her at least 2 weeks in advance.
The moving took a few days, but when it was done it was perfect. Except for Betty's new room. Her stuff was placed haphazardly in there because they didn't know where she wanted it too be. But Chics room...He looked around at it. Everything was placed perfectly. But none of that mattered. What mattered was. The Shower.
Chic opened the bathroom door and looked at his new kingdom. He nodded. Yeah. Thats a good bathroom. He walked in, closing the door behind him.
Chic put on his robe, turned on the fan then the shower and grabbed his big jug of milk from under the sink. He sat, leaning against the wall and poured himself a big glass.
"mmmmm ahhh!" he said taking a big gulp o milk.
He put the glass down for a second and pulled out something from his robe pocket. It was the photograph of betty and his mom. Then he pulled something out of his other robe pocket. it was scissors. He cut Betty out of the picture.
This was the life. Chic finally had it all.
The next morning Chic was drinking a big glass of orange juice and sitting at his place at the kitchen table.
"Eat your eggs, don't just drink your juice. Ok, Chic? You need to eat." Chic and Betty's mom said.
Just then Betty stormed in carrying a newspaper. "WHAT IS THIS?" Betty cursed at her "brother" and mom, holding up the newspaper for all to see.
"What is it , dear? " Alice said opening all the kitchen cupboards to look like she was doing something.
Betty slammed down the paper. "Why does it say that we switched rooms!?"
"Oh, you saw that?" Alice said coyly. "I didn't think you'd be home yet to read it."
"But I'd find out Eventually . How could you do this? This is a total betrayal of my trust."
While Betty and Alice were talking Chic started sinisterly daydreaming about being in a kids room design challenge tv show.
In his daydream Chic was wearing his big old man pyjamas , with a sleep cap, and a huge teddy bear. He was all snuggled into his big round bed. it was round because his bed was shaped like a big glass of milk. His walls had big "fat head" stickers of glasses of his favorite liquids. He had a lamp that was a milk jug, ect. ect.
"And "JUGHEAD " IS a BADD! Influence! " Alice yelled as Chic dialed the number to Trading Spaces: Boys Vs. Girls.
"Has he been watching minecraft videos in My Room?" Betty asked.
"Well it doesn't matter because its not your room anymore!" alice screamed.
"So He has then? Thats great. Thats just great! I'm sick of this. Y'know, I'm so sick of this! Having no control over my life."
Suddenly Chic was looming over them, half shadowed. "Betty..." He said softly.
"Wh-what is it ,Chic" Betty answered.
"We're going to be on Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls"
"Really?!" Betty yelped with the happiest smile on her face. "Trading Spaces: Boys vs. girls is my favorite show!"
Chic and Betty jumped up and down excitedly. Chic didn't jump very well because he's kind of slow like a slug man. But you could tell he was happy.
"I'm glad we worked everything out" Alice said looking in the cupboards to keep busy.
The Day of the Trading Spaces: Boys Vs. Girls challenge had arrived and betty was getting second thoughts. Oh no...what if Chic ruins my room by making it sherlock holmes themed or something. I hope he knows I only like nancy drew and harriet the spy.
But before she could think more Diane Mizota barged in the house with her crew and threw the trading spaces: boys vs girls jerseys at Betty and Chic and their two friends, Veronica and Kevin. "Are you guys ready to have fun and face challenges!?"
"Yeah!" Everyone screamed.
"Okay! Well first lets do the interviews!"
"okay." everyone said.
Chic's Interview
Chic and Kevin sit on Chic's bed. Chic has a big blanket wrapped around him, he's watching minecraft videos and silently crying. Not looking at the camera.
Kevin glances over at chic awkwardly before he starts talking. "sooo. I'm here with Chic. We don't know each other that well...We only started camming last week. But. Well. He's upset because I know Betty. and...yeah. I hope we can get along. We both like drinking big glasses of milk. so."
The camera zooms in on Chics face, hyperfocused on the minecraft. Another tear falls.
"Yeah. uh." Kevin starts again. "I hope he gets a good room."
Narrator: That's the boys now Let's check in on the girls
Betty's Interview
Betty and Veronica are sitting on all her boxes from the room move.
"So Betty's pretty much my best friend" stated Veronica. "We solve a lot of crimes together."
"Aww thanks V." Betty said.
"The worst thing would be if the boys gave her a sherlock holmes themed room. She hates sherlock holmes."
"oh! thank you for mentioning that! I was just thinking about how I do not want a sherlock holmes themed room."
Narrator: Let's hope there's no sherlock holmes themed room in Bettys future
Diane Mizota is standing in the middle of the road with all four kids.
"ok, guys heres the deal" Diane said while wearing her sweet early 2000's skater fashion. "you guys cannot talk to each other at all. You have to keep these rooms a secret. Now get out of here. go go go go g o!"
The boys and girls ran in oppisite directions but all eventually returned to the house.
Narrator: working with the boys today is designer Jordin and carpenter Genine
Kevin and Chic walked into Betty's room. Jordin and Genine were doing a goofy skit in there were they looked through magnifyng glasses. "Word on the street is that Betty really likes nancy drew." Genine said.
"oh." Both Chic and Kevin said.
"We were thinking that we would make a sweater room for her." Chic said.
"oh" both Jordin and Genine said.
"well lets gets get to cleaning out the room!"
While they're doing the cleaning montage Chic really starts stressing out about where all his stuff is gonna go. Whenever he watched this show they never put their stuff back in. What happens to it? Are they going to throw out all his minecraft figurines? All his big glasses? his milk? But even if you put the stuff back in the room it totally ruins the aesthetic.
Narrator: the girls will be goin' crazy i n Chic's room with designer scott and carpenter barte.
"It seems Chic really loves milk and minecraft and camming so we're going to make our first ever triple themed room!" Scott said excitedly , he didn't even do a skit.
They went straight into the cleaning montage because I don't want to write more of this scene.
Back with the boys Jordin is showing them her plans for her nancy themed room.
"So. I'm not sure how we can translate this into sweaters." said Jordin.
"Yeah, well, maybe we can paint the walls like the stitching of a sweater and then hang sweaters around. and then I guess we can do the other nancy drew stuff." Chic whispered.
"Ok, sounds good."
They all nodded at each other.
Narrator: lets check back with the girls and see how they're doing
Barte is drawing a big circle on the floor. "Can you guess what this is?" Barte adressed the girls.
"Big circle" said Veronica.
"Close" Barte said. "But its actually going to be the warm milk tub. Lets all help saw it out"
They all , including Diane Mizota,grabbed the large two person saw and started sawing a big circle into the floor.
after that was done Diane Mizota said "You guys ready for the boys vers. girls challenge?"
Veronica and Betty said ye.
At the boys vers. girls challenge the boys won and the girls had to wear really stupid gross minecraft hats. "I hate minecraft" Betty said scowling at Diane Mizota the challenge wizard."Almost as much as I hate sherlock holmes. and Injustice."
After the boys vers. girls challenge they all worked really hard to finish the rooms. They did a bunch of fun skits and jokes too. After that it was time for the big reveal.
"What do you think the boys are going to do when they see the room" Diane Mizota asked the girls.
"I think Chic will cry" Betty said imediatly.
"Oh, you think he will cry?" Diane asked.
"Yeah. He always cries." She paused for a moment. "Then I think he'll try to drink out of the milk hot tub."
Narrator: lets see if chic cries
Chic and Kevin walk into the room. Its just how chic always imagined it would be + theres minecraft stuff+ a new camera and a big fat head sticker of him in his underwear that he can sit in front of when he's camming.
"oohh cool." Chic whispered ominously. "do you know where my old stuff is? also is there storage for the stuff that doesnt match the room aesthetic?"
Narrator: Seems like the boys really liked the room now lets see what the girls think of betty's new nancy drew sweater room.
"What do you think the girls will think of the room" Diane Mizota asked the boys.
"I think they'll be really excited" Kevin said. "I'm really excited because I'll finally be able to go back to my own home."
Betty enters the room. Theres sweaters everywhere and a big fat head of nancy drew. and a cardboard cutout of nancy drew. Betty starts crying. It was such a beautiful room. But that's not why she was crying.
"I just can't get used to this room. the shower doesnt have the good water. and theres too much new stuff in here it feels weird sleeping here + I'm going to feel like I'm ruining everything."
Chic also started crying because he always starts crying when he sees other people crying.
Then Diane Mizota started crying because she got paint on her cool skater beanie. Also she was tired and it was hot outside so it was easier for her to cry.
and eventually everyone was crying.
