I really, really should update my other story, but, you know, plot bunnies and things. So. Yeah. Don't worry. I will update the other one this weekend. I have it written. So... If you are still reading this. Here we go.

The Doctor slowly forced his eyes open, his eyes pained from the bright light.
He knew he would have to get up.
Go on.
He always had to.
So he rolled over, grimacing as electric pain shot through his body, paralyzing him momentarily and leaving him breathless, like he had just run a marathon.
He inched forward, dragging himself along the ground.
Excruciating pain almost sucked all the life out of him, leaving him breathless.
He could feel himself waning, his body straining to hold on.
He definitely wasn't ready to go.
Not in this way.
Not now.
Not so close.
Not...
He collapsed upon the edge of the Pandorica's light, his last breath giving out.
Suddenly he could feel warmth flowing through his hand.
His fingers started to slowly twitch.
They reached out, searching for something to grab onto, as the Doctor gasped with the strange tingling sensation that spread through his body.
Just a little bit more. He thought. For Amy. For Rory.
He reached up with his last bits of recovered strength and hoisted himself up into the seat.
And that was there they found him.
And he said goodbye.
