Harry, It wasn't your fault.

sunny days and starry nights
and lazy afternoons
you count the castles in the clouds
and hum little tunes

Sometimes Harry liked to dream about what the Golden Trio could have been doing if Voldemort hadn't regained power. Instead of sleeping in the safe confines of Hogwarts castle, they were sleeping in a cold, damp tent, in the middle of nowhere.

They should be laying on a blanket near the lake. Instead, of a pile of dirt.

It was his fault.

but somehow right before your eyes
the sun fades away
everything is different
and everything has changed

Harry remembered the first time he had been to Diagon Alley. Everything had looked so wonderous! This world had been his escape from the Dursleys. Now everything had changed. He would gladly give up his wand and go back to living as a Muggle. As long as his friends could be safe again.

It was his fault they weren't.

if you feel lost and on your own
and far from home
your never alone, you know

Harry had never feltso alone. He knew he had Hermione, but Ron had left. Harry wondered if Hermione would leave too. He almost wished she would. Then she would be out of the line of fire.

Because if she got hurt it was his fault.

just think of your friends
the ones who care
they all will be waiting there
with love to share
and your heart will lead you home

He thought of his friends.

Hermione. Ron. Ginny. Hagrid. Luna. Neville. Mrs. Weasley. Mr. Weasley. Fred. George. Dean. Seamus. Lupin. Tonks. Bill. Charlie. Heck, even Percy!

There was a long list of people he cared for.

And an even longer list of people who had died for him.

It was his fault.

All he wanted now was the comfort of his home. Hogwarts.

funny how a photograph can take you back in time
to places and embraces
that you thought you left behind

He often found himslef looking through the scrapbook Hagrid had given him.

Looking at the pictures of his parents.

The parents that had died, saving their only son.

It was his fault.

they're trying to remind you
that you're not the only one
that no one is an island
when all has said and done

there'll come a day when you're losing your way
and you won't know where you belong
they say that home is where your heart is
so follow your heart know that you can't go wrong

"Harry, there wasn't anything you could have done."
